This will only work in SP though, since helis don't work on MP servers. Have the heli fly to the drop point with a path. Next to the last path point where you drop the men, put an effect at the same elevation as the heli is flying at. Name it something like DropPoint. Have a trigger for when the heli reaches the drop zone, and when this happens, have it unload the helicopter. Have it teleport the player platoon to a zone on the ground below the heli. Now, have it teleport just the PlayerControlledActor to the droppoint effect, and make sure to turn invincibility on for him, or he'll get killed when he hits the ground. Set a timer to expire in about 5-10 seconds, depending on how high the drop point is, and when the timer expires, turn off invincibility.
