Okay, so I'm playing Ghost Recon with my in-progress mod Texas Militia. I'm doing a firefight on M10 Vilnius map. I see this guy with a slug-loaded shotgun down the street, and I see the fiery flash as he fires. Sounds pretty intense, huh? Well, to my dismay, all I hear is a ricochet. I turn on 'superman', and run up to him. I can hardly hear the shotgun firing until I'm within 5 or less meters of him. Same for all the other guns. I can hear them great when I'm firing them, they almost hurt my ears because I've amplified them so much, but I still can't hear them when the enemy or any of my allies fire them. I have no problem with hearing the default guns though. unsure.gif

I'm about to post for help here, but then I think, let's check out the effects.xml in my mod. I open the origmiss one and mine. I see that everything is fairly similar, save for one thing. The <Min> value is at 1 on my sounds, and in Origmiss it is 12. I (in notepad) click edit and Replace, and put 1.000 in what to replace, and 12.000 for what to put in its place. I start up GR and I do a firefight on MP01 River which I just set up to have firefight mode. I step out of the waterfall, and I'm engaged from all sides by gun-wielding maniacs and I suddenly am plunged into a terrifyingly awesome combat experience. I've been amplifying the sounds so much to get them to work, now that I fixed it, it was almost real, scared me at first devil.gif I see tracers from ear-blasting M16LMGs flying over my head, I hear sniper rifles cracking across the river, and I can almost feel the heat from the rockets flying over my head as tangos shoot deafening SMAW rockets over my head Taliban-style. So anyway, I thought I'd post this here so if anyone else has this problem, they could fix it.

By the way, I got killed by a point-blank SMAW round to the face. Dang that Russian noob. If it was Multiplayer I would've thought that Rocky was playing with me ohmy.gifwink.gifyes.giftongue.gif
