Medals

Noob question, but is there any way that you can keep the game from giving players medals for getting the 25 kills, or 30 kills, or whatever? Pretty sure it's hardcoded, but just wondering. I wanted to award certain medals upon my own criterias. I could resort to using the Lithuanian, Georgian, etc. medals. I thought it was strange that you could award an actor with the Silver Star for example, while it is awarded thru the engine anyway.

i think you can override it in the mission scripts, i swear there is an "awardmedal" response in there.

I know there's the response, but I want to keep the engine from awarding it for just getting a certain amount of kills.

hmm, i'll look into it and see what i can find that may be of use.

That'd be neat if it works. I was reading a bunch of old posts in the mission modding form and saw how one guy said he would award a player medals for completing a certain task, like killing the target or whatever. As far as I know, it doesn't work since you can get the medal for just getting 25 kills.
