Specialists in Quick MIssion?

Recommended Posts

Hey,

In Claiming Liberty, my upcoming expansion pack, you get 9 specialists to unlock in the campaign. I've unlocked all of them playing it, but when I go to quick mission mode and play my missions, there are no specialists, not even the RSE ones. Is there something I have to do to make them show up in Quick Mission mode? Thanks.

I'd check but don't have a working copy of your mod. Waiting on public release, like in two days?

Anyways have you kept the hero .atrs the exact same name as RSE used?

For example if you changed the buzz_gordon.atr to something other then the original name might be a problem.

Changing the ingame name can be done by changing the line <ActorName>Buzz Gordon</ActorName> to anything you want within the file.

Just askin'

So you got it fixed? And how?

I have an issue with my original missions unlocked heroes.

Installed off of the Gold Edition discs on Win7 64 bit.

I could not unlock heroes in the campaign even when I use unlockhero in the console.

So recently I looked at mission properties in Igor and the unlocked hero file box is blank for all fifteen missions.

Same for opening missions with Notepad. All 15 are blank showing: <HeroFile/>

IIRC I haven't touched or altered these missions at all.

Anyone else have similar issue?

The DS and IT missions are OK with the .xml being indicated.

I didn't get it fixed. I changed the hero names (e. wombat is now henry ramirez) and changed the campaign .xml (e. now instead of wombat.atr for mission 07 it is henry ramirez.atr) I also deleted my cl_unlockedheroes.xml since the names were wrong, but when I launched GR and activated Claiming Liberty, it CTD'd. When I changed them back to default, it works. Perhaps it is because the kit folder names are wrong, but it should crash when I change kits not at the menu. I think next time I'll name them as the originals from the start, but Claiming Liberty is too far along now with release date today. Maybe a patch will fix it, but I think it would be too much trouble with tech issues. The weird thing is, the DS and IT missions do NOT use the originial names, they use 'd_ramirez' or whatever, yet you can use them in quick mission. Strange.

As for your problem, Wombat, I have no idea. Mine is Win7 as well.
