i script:

When player actor (i have been making a actor ref) are 0 meters from zone <car 1>

place player platoon (platoon ref) in car 1 (hilux toyota 4x4 from hammers vehicle pack.

Get player platoons AI off.

In game, i go to the zone, and i don't gonna come into the car?

How can do so that i come into that car?

And, can you make an trigger with player cliks on '''' tast?

Your script blocks should look like this:

Trigger Event:

Startup (The simulation is starting)

Responses:

VariableSetPlatoon (Set 'Player Platoon' to the player-controlled platoon.)

VariableSetActor (Set 'Player Actor' to the player-controlled actor.)

Trigger Event:

ProximityPlatoon (A member of Player Platoon is within 1 meter of Zone - Car)

Responses:

VehicleLoadPlatoon (Load all members of Player Platoon into Insertion Vehicle.)

PlatoonAIOff (Turn platoon AI off for Player Platoon)

AvatarSwitchingOff (Prevent players from switching avatars.)

InvisibilityPlatoonOn (Make all members of Player Platoon undetectable)

Okay, teppe, delete your script and do this exactly as I say:

1. Place a vehicle (I would not suggest the Hliux as it only holds 4 actors and will not support the players; use the 6x6 or the M1078b instead.)

2. In your script, add this block:

Trigger Event:

Startup (The simulation is starting)

Responses:

VariableSetPlatoon (Set 'Player Platoon' to the player-controlled platoon.)

VariableSetActor (Set 'Player Actor' to the player-controlled actor.)

3. Make a new script block like this:

Trigger Event:

ProximityPlatoon (A member of Player Platoon is within 5 meters of Insertion Vehicle)

You most likely have an incorrect variable set up. You need to go to Tags from the script edit menu, set the type to PlatoonRef for the player platoon, and ActorRef for the player actor.

Okay Teppe, it is obviously something wrong on your end, not ours. Anyway, Tinker, he isn't trying to have it drive yet I don't think, he can't get the players loaded. Let me get an actual script from one of my missions up. I'll be back.

Here, check out this tutorial by Wolfsong. It'll get you started.

Has that ever been tested, Tinker? I never thought about that

Someone may of I guess. To clarify this works, after testing just now, there is a simple mission file available in the attachments. Just take 1 man in alpha and 1 man in bravo. Let the mission start, see bravo jump into the vehicle, soul switch, and now you are the driver. At this point you could now send alpha into a different vehicle and follow. With some clever scripting you can make this work for a lot of scenarios.

It'd either just stop its path, keep going as if the AI were still driving, or CTD.

Assumptions my freind, probably was quicker to script it and check, than what it took you to think about it. :P

You will need to run a continueif player is not in this team each time for scripting, and keep on top of this bit alone.

Tinker, you said you get to drive? I'll have to see the mission now. I don't think I understand if you mean it appears that you're driving or if you can actually drive, which would be incredible.

Okay, it was like I figured. You're just sitting in the driver seat as if you were driving. This happened on one of my missions when I loaded the players into a truck without giving the truck a driver. You just sat behind the wheel, but since you weren't AI, it didn't go anywhere although it had a plan.

Teppe, you need Island Thunder in order to play or look at Tinker's mission. If you don't have IT, you will need to get it, or it just may be deactivated. Go into IGOR, go to File, go to Mods, and make sure Mp2 is checked. Then open Tinker's mission.
