RileyFletcher_01
Okay, it seemed simple enough to just, every five or ten minutes, change the weather, fog, and spot range, but I think (note sure) that when someone quick loads the game, the weather resets to default conditions. This is very frustrating. I tried using this script, but it doesn't work either: Group: <Default> Comment: 02: set groups Trigger Event: The simulation is starting. Responses: Disable the Weather 01 script blocks. Disable the Weather 02 script blocks. Disable the Weather 03 script blocks. Disable the Weather 04 script blocks. Group: <Default> Comment: weather - start 01 Trigger Event: 53 second(s) elapsed. Responses: Enable the Weather 01 script blocks. Group: <Default> Comment: weather - start 02 Trigger Event: 344 second(s) elapsed. Responses: Disable the Weather 01 script blocks. Enable the Weather 02 script blocks. Group: <Default> Comment: weather - start 03 Trigger Event: 535 second(s) elapsed. Responses: Disable the Weather 02 script blocks. Enable the Weather 03 script blocks. Group: <Default> Comment: weather - start 04 Trigger Event: 812 second(s) elapsed. Responses: Disable the Weather 03 script blocks. Enable the Weather 04 script blocks. Group: Weather 01 Comment: weather - action 01 Trigger Event: 1 second(s) elapsed. Responses: Allow this block to be reactivated. Turn on fog with color 175,175,175 between 60 and 120 meter(s). Change the maximum spotting distance to 160. Change the weather to rain. Group: Weather 02 Comment: weather - action 02 Trigger Event: 1 second(s) elapsed. Responses: Allow this block to be reactivated. Turn on fog with color 200,200,200 between 90 and 150 meter(s). Change the maximum spotting distance to 145. Change the weather to clear. Group: Weather 03 Comment: weather - action 03 Trigger Event: 1 second(s) elapsed. Responses: Allow this block to be reactivated. Turn on fog with color 140,140,140 between 120 and 180 meter(s). Change the maximum spotting distance to 175. Change the weather to clear. Group: Weather 04 Comment: weather - action 04 Trigger Event: 1 second(s) elapsed. Responses: Allow this block to be reactivated. Turn on fog with color 90,90,90 between 55 and 110 meter(s). Change the maximum spotting distance to 105. Change the weather to rain. This should work fine, I would think, but it does not.
BS PALADIN
Use counters. If weather counter equals 1 then rain, fog x etc. Use a 1 sec time elapsed and it should work.
RileyFletcher_01
Thanks, I'll try that.
Tinker
Using counters. Every 10 seconds the fog and spotting will increase by 1 M. Mission begins with 20M far fog. Script will keep running for 20 minutes before it hits 120M far fog. Then it stops. Here you can easily call a new block and decrease the fog again if needed. Group: (START) Comment: FOG Trigger Event: FOG has expired. Responses: Allow this block to be reactivated. Set FOG to expire in 10 second(s). Set ((FOG-FAR)) to (The result of (The value of ((FOG-FAR))) plus 1). Set ((FOG-NEAR)) to (The result of (The value of ((FOG-NEAR))) plus 1). Set ((SPOT)) to (The result of (The value of ((SPOT))) plus 1). Turn on fog with color 92,92,92 between (The number (The value of ((FOG-NEAR)))) and (The number (The value of ((FOG-FAR)))) meter(s). Continue executing responses if ((The value of ((FOG-FAR))) is equal to 120). Cancel FOG. Prevent this block from being reactivated.
RileyFletcher_01
Thanks Tinker, that works better than groups. That way looks choppy cause I change the weather too fast.

Tinker
Looking good. There is no need for this bit: Group: <Default> Comment: 01: startup Trigger Event: The simulation is starting. Responses: Disable the Weather 01 - Light Rain script blocks. Disable the Weather 02 - Clear script blocks. Disable the Weather 03 - Light Fog script blocks. Disable the Weather 04 - Heavy Fog script blocks. Disable the Weather 05 - Light Rain script blocks. RileyFletcher_01
Okay, I experienced an error at one point though when I didn't disable a group and a flag, but if you say so.....I might have been wrong though, so that's good that way I don't have to waste so much startup space.
