2nd Ranger
Huh. When I saw this I thought maybe they'd updated some of the models or something, like Valve did with their High-Definition pack for Half-Life.
Pave Low
haha, what a great way to get around the legalese of Codies owning the Flashpoint name So BIS can now update or add content to it, I do hope this is only the first of several more updates I for one am going to patch to the "new" game OFP:CWC is dead, long live "Arma: Cold War Assault" Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis, Resistance, GOTY were developed by Bohemia Interactive studio and were published by the Codemasters software company limited. The title “Operation Flashpoint” is a registered trademark of Codemasters.
Sgt. Atoa
Not so fast Pave Low,, people are reporting bugs already lol http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?p=1962727#post1962727
Pave Low
Meh, guess I'll just have to enjoy CWC a little while longer then BIS seem to be already on the case and now they can fix them (and other things) Yeah, it is a pity they didn't catch these before release as the seem pretty obvious ones but even these cant spoil the day OFP was reborn The updated splash + menu screens (posted on the BIS forum) http://i53.tinypic.com/erxvzk.gif

Sgt. Atoa
Update!! The download is actually a stand alone folder installation and will not affect your current OFP CWC folder at all When you click on the file for the first time the installation program is going to ask for your OFP CD key so have that one in hand but if you have OFP CWC installed already the installer is going to look for it @ your OFP CWC installation. In other words you can have both versions at the same time
Pave Low
Yes, it installs as a separate standalone "new game" rather than just a patch to the existing install This is so it now uses a Bohemia folder structure instead of the default Codemasters one giving complete separation of the two although you can just copy any mods etc from OFP install to the new folder structure It doesn’t include the Red-Hammer campaign for legal reasons (as that was Codemasters product) *But it does include the Resistance expansion
Pave Low
They have fixed the radio bug + the handgun bug and had updated the download file (#2) and issued Hotfix v1 last-night however there did remain an issue with animations (Weapon reload Etc) This was fixed this morning and they have issued Hotfix v2, but just want to triple check for any remaining bugs before they replace the full update. ftp://downloads.bistudio.com/bi/CWA_hotfix2.7z The hotfix is only 115 Kb and contains 2 file CONFIG.bin + RESOURCE.bin which you just use to manually replace the files currently in the "BIN" folder Edit: The updated (v3) full installers have been released - see the first post for links
Sgt. Atoa
Yeah all the core bugs are apparently fixed But I played the first few missions and found some bugs in there This one is annoying: Campaing Mission Flashpoint: B squad helicopter crash 70% of the time in the woods in front of the landing site killing everybody
