101459
Late to the discussion but oh well, I'm a KDE fan, and have found the best distros for supporting KDE to be openSUSE , Gentoo, and Debian. openSUSE is probably the most accessible, Gentoo the least and Debian somewhere in the middle is pretty much 'the' distro everyone else uses in building a distro. Generally the understated quality of these projects speaks for itself, but I'd add the consistency, integration and quality across all KDE applications can offer the kind of user experience Apple was known for and just about everything (including Apple) falls short of recently... bigbosslim
I use Fedora once in a while, for learning purposes. But I mainly use Debian-based distros such as Ubuntu and Mint.
Zeealex
Nice! suppose people use a second distro for different things. I found myself using Fedora when Ubuntu attained a superblock error, I used it to get on the net at first. And then I found out how to fix the superblock. My GRUB bootloader was overwritten by fedora so I couldn't access the root shell on ubuntu. So I used Fedora's and typed the prompt. Worked a charm! Fedora seemed pretty tricky to install anything, even something as simple as Adobe flash.
