Zeealex
nice job! one porblem GR.net was established in 2002/3 i believe not sure Edited May 31, 2011 by Zeealex
Ruin
No, it was established before GR was even released. We were hacked at the end of 2002 and these particular boards were opened up for the public in early 2003 (my join date). But we were around long before that. I do believe 2001 was the right year, I don't think it was 2000. http://heroesunleashed.net/misc/grnetheader.jpg Thought I might as well join in with a quick draft. Noice! No that's not a typo. I like it. Old and new, simple and easy.

ZJJ
You folks are making this really hard to judge now, some great banners there. Who says you can only use one? They can be rotated or changed a regular basis.

Rocky
Yeh we could do that, or if you look at the news page there are 7 news tabs, each news page can have a different banner.
ApexMods
We have a news page?!?
Rocky
We have a news page?!? Yeh, and I am thinking of shutting the forums for a week so that YOU GUYS REALISE WE HAVE A NEWS PAGE AND START APPRECIATING IT!
Ruin
How about a revolving banner? I've been to other sites where the banner changes with every page click, or every hour, or every day... whichever.
NYR_32
You mean like this.
Rocky
I'm not to keen on banners that change too much, a site needs an identity or a brand that visitors can instantly identify with, even on a subconscious level - so a static banner than doesn't change every click, day, week, month or even year, is a good thing. There's a wee tip for budding website owners
twcrash
Yeah I would take whatever Blackfoot Studios did.. and go the COMPLETELY opposite direction... Such a fine example of Vaporware that you wanna stay as far away from it as possible...
Ruin
I was thinking more like Camaro5.com. Where the banner stays the same but the car changes... if that makes sense. Also DigitalCorvettes.com does it too, I think. Haven't been on BFS in a long time, had totally forgotten they do that. Zeealex
wouldn't that mean rearranging the whole image so ghost recon.net and the celebrating is in the same place and the background changes then do it with another so on so forth? sounds fiddly to me but i could have the concept all wrong
