zeealice Posted May 12, 2011 Share Posted May 12, 2011 i thought i wanted to start the topic to discuss other member's sigs, and see if there is a meaning behind why it is they way it is, and why they chose the images in which they did. or even worded sigs, why did that person pick that saying or why have they got their computer spec on there. not for bragging rights, just thought it would be interesting to get to know the screen personalities of fellow members questions can be anything at all so long as it isn't offensive OR digging too deep into someone's privacy. i can see this thread being dead before it's even started, but hey, worth a try admins, i have most probably gone and put this in the wrong area haven't i? I should have wrote down my OC'ed BIOS too, would help me just I need to OC when playing demanding games like ArMa2. ZJJ Posted May 12, 2011 Share Posted May 12, 2011 My sig connects to a book series that I liked. I like to joke that it's a trilogy with nine books in it. It's actually 3 sets of trilogies, but the main character changes with each set. However, the whole precept that runs through each of these books is to "love as thou wilt." I agree with this idea and asked one of my sig makers to incorporate that into a sig. The woman in the sig is the main character of the first trilogy. The text portion of my sig is from an episode of SouthPark. A series I don't watch, but did watch one episode that was based around the World of Warcraft video game. I laughed at the saying as it is in direct contrast to what we are usually told (get off the computer and go outside to do something) and since we are all gamers, it really seemed to fit here. zeealice Posted May 12, 2011 Author Share Posted May 12, 2011 (edited) wow! nice story never been one for south park myself, more of a futurama/simpsons/family guy person funny saying though, even i laughed ours, Alex's was meant to implement a sniper element into it, but the quality of "30K" was too low so to make it that tad better she added Kozak into it, the saying in it is from the [GR] specialist Guram osadze's profile she just liked it, usually what she thinks online when she sees a bunch of people in one group. all the best john self explanitory, she's wishing John TC02 all the best in the tough circumstances he is currently facing Mine, is to really indicate that even shooting the ###### out of someone doesn't do justice for me (in the original image the mags are spent) hence "are we having fun yet?" and the making a total p**** of myself part, speaks for itself really, i can make myself look like a total ameteur in something i am actually quite good at i'll no doubt be changing my image soon, monthly sig change is in order we just get bored of looking at it after a while My current sig should be self explanitory, for those who have the capacity to interpret code. yes, cant wait! i'm thinkin why didnt i pre order it on Amazon? i'm a dumbass sometimes. It's a made up gun... looked similar to some of the paintball guns as i was really into paintball during that time. It's hard to read but each of the bullets say nuke. The killing is not a crime, not playing GR is i thought was just ironic so i added it. The other is a forum award i got here in 2005. "I never check my six coz Hammers always got me covered" MV Talon a great freind Who does not play anymore but i still keep in contact with after 7 years edit... I always wondered about that (beautiful) sig of yours and had the thought of asking about it somewhere in the back of my (apparently dysfunctional) head. If I was to write on here words exactly how those with broad accents/dialects from my area of the England pronounce them, you would think I was writing in some other language. There are even words present in the dialect that do not exist in the English language, and likewise, a lot of English words are swapped around with each other. There is also some 'archaic' words in use, such as thee, but we shorten it to 'ee. Sadly, the accent/dialect is slowly dying out nowadays. So, on the internet, and to my customers, I speak/write 'proper' English (or 'Wenglish' (Welsh English (swapping oo's for w's etc)) just to confuse people).
