Dick Splash
I'm just installing a new PSU. My three HD's are connected to a SATA backplane. There are three ways of powering it I think. To be honest, I did unplug the failed PSU and couldn't remember what type I'd unplugged. The three connections are a 10 pin PCI, 2 x Molex and 1 x S-ATA connector. There is no 10 pin PCI connection with the PSU, so that rules that out, but the PSU is semi-modular and comes with Molex and S-ATA cables. I think it was previously powered with an S-ATA cable from the PSU. Is that right? Would that be enough to power three HD's slotted into a backplane? Zeealex
well considering the hard drive is SATA and the power lug is SATA, then yeah it's the right one, matching names to plugs sata one is black and flat you probably know which one it looks like.
