Ubisoft Consider Ghost Recon Movie?

I think this is from the same site as your image Rocky but worth a read.

Ubisoft Serious About Assassin's Creed and Ghost Recon Films

In a post at Evil Avatar, Ubisoft has apparently sent out surveys to select fans asking them what they would like to see done with the Ghost Recon and Assassin's Creed franchises if they were brought to the silver screen.

According to the post, in addition to asking several questions regarding viewing habits of movies, as well as favorite movies, actors, and directors, the survey "gets more specific, asking questions regarding what the [survey] submitter would want out of a movie based upon Ghost Recon, specifically where the movie would fall in line of the overall Ghost Recon timeline and which special Recon teams would be the focus."

Finally, the same sets of questions were asked concerning an Assassin's Creed film, "including exploring Ezio and Subject 16 further, as well as possibly focusing on a new assassin."

The following survey screen capture along with the fact that Ubisoft has been trying to redefine itself as an entertainment publisher, rather than just a video game publisher, almost guarantee one of these IPs will make it to Hollywood.

What do you think? What's more exciting, Ghost Recon or Assassin's Creed? Should they be left in the realm of gaming only?

Source.

I think if they do it right, such as spend the money to get a good plot and good actors, then a Ghost Recon movie would be nice. I would like to follow Captain Mitchell's career, kind of like Jack Ryan.

As for Assassin Creed, that would make a good movie as well. If they can get Prince of Persia, I don't see why AC would not work.

i would love to see a GR movie so long as Jacobs, Cohen, Diaz, Foster, Burke and Gordon are in it, they where my favorite characters going on their Bios probably like to see Kozak in there too.

i'd probably like it to see how the relationship between characters builds up.

If a movie about Ghost Recon was to be made, one thing should be considered, the recon factor.

They are, after all, the 5th SFG, 1st Batallion, D-Company. Their main task is to recon terrain, activity, personnel, engagements and so on. Of course, direct action is part of the pack. But it wouldn't be like Black Hawk Down, where all the action surrounds the convoy in Mogadishu (depicting, erroneously, only american troops, but whatever), the Ghosts go stealthly, silently. After they arrive in the spot, all hell may break loose.

The true 5th Special Forces are Here in my Area (Ft. Campbell with 101st and 160th Soar) Who knows what they really do but I can say that we are proud of them.

As for the movie they must have seen Lighty's films and now want to up it.

I would really enjoy seeing a GR film on the big screen.  Though, like most adaptations of games, they will most likely botch the story. Im sure there are many GR fans here that could cultivate a very exciting and enjoyable storyline that would be true to the characters of GR.
