Pave Low
* improved netcode (better locality handling) Oh Yeah! * 4 new bonus scenarios for owners of the full version of Arma 2: Private Military Company Guess they picked up on all the comments from unhappy PMC purchasers about the limited content and are trying some damage limitation Edit: For info they are 4x new Single-Player missions (well actually only 3 and a showcase) * Infiltration: Sneak under the cover of darkness to destroy a rocket artillery test site. * Reaction: Battle through the mist to recover missing clients. * Provision: Take to the air to deliver a crucial cargo drop for UN troops in central Takistan. * Showcase: Enjoy the diversity of the PMC faction in a showcase mission. * Fixed: AI Helicopters wobbling up and down Great!, I'd seen from the bug log that BIS were reporting this as fixed and they were just waiting to add to a patch. I will have to check this out for myself as that particular flight bug was really off-putting and spoilt any mission with a chopper.
Parabellum
I hope that the issue with helicopters not landing to drop off troops in cargo is finally fixed. I pretty much quit scripting for ArmA II after a frustrating time of dealing with that issue, among others.
Tinker
Correct me if wrong here Arma2 needs to be patched to 1.05 OA needs to be patched to 1.50 - 1.56 BAF and PMC need no patches Then apply this patch? For info, have a freash install of Arma2 done, no patches, boxed version of OA ready to install, plus Sprocket PMC and BAF ready to install. Buehgler_AS
I would suggest 1) ArmA2 up to 1.08 (from anything) via this patch 2) OA up to 1.57 (from anything) via this patch 3) BAF to 1.02 via this patch 4) PMC to 1.01 via this patch Then grab a recent beta from here -- the recent changes to the graphics make running the betas well worth it IMO. Then finally stop by our forums/TS and we will set you up with a few GB of mods to really make it a fun experience Of course I have the game via steam, so I may be wrong about the patch order, however my understanding is that all of the patches since OA came out have been all-inclusive, so there is no need to install the intermediate patches. Good luck, hope we see you online soon.
Lightspeed
patches are all inclusive -
Tinker
All installed and running, tanks! Order of march for patches as above. Not used a beta before, can I still join games not running it if I get it? What mods are you using Buehgler? Also looking at staying away from the domination type games this time. (Lightspeeds missions will be getting installed of course.)
Buehgler_AS
All installed and running, tanks! Order of march for patches as above. great! Not used a beta before, can I still join games not running it if I get it? Yes, the betas are compatible in MP with the most recent full patch. They install into a separate folder (Expansion/beta), so it is very easy to switch between using a beta and the official patch. What mods are you using Buehgler? Also looking at staying away from the domination type games this time. (Lightspeeds missions will be getting installed of course.) We run ACE2, a variety of small playability/realism community mods, and all of Robalo's game-play tweaks (what's on the hud, weapon handling, animation tweaks, weapon configs, etc. etc. etc.), and a collection of islands. We occasionally will play an evening of domination (typically played as a tight/closely coordinated group, but most of the time we are playing "real missions" targeted at small ground units. Details can be found here and here.
