Tinker
The way it is supposed to work is, get fairly close to the vehicle, select airstrike, while pointing your cursor at the vehicle, select attack. Quick Vid
Pave Low
That's a well known problem, just search "airstrike" to see the numerous existing threads about it for example: Site FAQ: How do I call in an Airstrike? How to do Airstrike....Cross-Com commands + Mouse wheel Commands won't execute Unable to call airstrike to destroy ADATsHELP Cross-com Issues cross-com doest work to call in airstrike

Pave Low
exactly what part is not working How to call in an Airstrike 1. To use the airstrike, you have to be in first person - not on the map! 2a. Scroll down to Airstrike. 2b. point your crosshairs at the target. 3a. While Airstrike is selected, call up your Crosscom menu 3b. choose the Attack option, still pointing at the target. 4. Take cover and enjoy the fireworks! is it that the "Attack " come up but nothing happens when you select/click on it ? if so.... Are you still using the middle mouse button as the crosscom "use" key ? as that has had problems since one of the patches Have you tried to re-map the crosscom "use" key to a different keyboard key ? (Options \ Controls \ Misc \ Cross-com-use) IRRC some people had to completely restart the mission (or in some cases restart the campaign for it to work)
cryo3614
Hi ok,1,2a,2b, no problems, cannot complete 3a,3b, especially 4. have redefined key makes no difference. I have the Airstrike window I can scroll down to it and I can put cross hairs on it but that is it. I am running Version grpc rc 1.02 should that make a difference? Tinker
If you cannot get this resolved, I can upload the save file to get you past that part.
Pave Low
Yes, that would make a difference, should always patch to the latest version - v1.35 (it will fix more problems than it could potentially cause) although probably you will have to restart the campaign again Does sound like you have the Crosscom selection "bug" that loads of people have unfortunately suffered from and those linked threads should indicate how they got round it I believe you will need to use airstrikes/Apaches/artillery in future missions, so if you skip this one you will run into the same problem again later
cryo3614
If you cannot get this resolved, I can upload the save file to get you past that part. Hi Tinker thnks for reply would this just get me passed this particular glich? but as pave low says I would run into it again, Yes, that would make a difference, should always patch to the latest version - v1.35 (it will fix more problems than it could potentially cause) although probably you will have to restart the campaign again Does sound like you have the Crosscom selection "bug" that loads of people have unfortunately suffered from and those linked threads should indicate how they got round it I believe you will need to use airstrikes/Apaches/artillery in future missions, so if you skip this one you will run into the same problem again later Thnks for reply if the linked threads you mentioned just let me bypass, as you say I would come up against the same prob. Would the patch 1.35 solve it? I hadn't got that far of looking for latest patch yet(got to engrossed ) Or do I just chalk this one to experiencegot it cheap but brand new. Cheers Cryo3614
Tinker
There is no gaurantee that patching to 1.35 will solve this. It seems very random. I know I have been through at least 3 keyboards and mice over the last few years and have never had this issue. So what causes it is unknown. However, as Pave has mentioned, you really should always patch up to the latest version anyhow. Patch 1.35 That is the full patch, all inclusive. Can only suggest patching and starting the mission again from the beginning, if it still occurs, I can upload a save file. Maybe it is just that 1 mission with the issue.
