StarCraft II Impressions

So SC2 has been out just over a month now. Anyone here given it a whirl? Curious what your impressions are.

I have it, and like it. I never really got into the whole build your army as fast as you can type of game play that it is, but I played it at a friends house and was hooked. Its really fun. =P

I need to check out some movies or something, is there a demo? Do you think it's a space version of Company of Heroes meets Wow? I still play CoH almost every day recently, fantastic game, even though I rarely win. If SC is similar I might check it out.

There are videos of lots of MP battles including ones from the beta on YouTube.

There is no demo, and likely won't be since they are selling enough copies.

It's been too long since I played CoH so I don't recall the nuances of the game, but chances are it's different. However, in the Single Player campaign there are enough variations on RTS gameplay to keep things relatively fresh and interesting

Starcraft multiplayer is a totally different beast, and it's basically like chess with well established opening moves, mid and late game strategies, although those are all evolving since SC2 is so new

Anyways, check out this update from Blizzard about their patch support for the game. Ubi could learn a thing or two (well, actually many things) about how to interact with the community from this one paragraph:
