Or you could pay and have someone do it.
I thought of that, but I've got a small crate of 180's that belonged to my folks and I just wanted to sift through them at my pace and copy anything that you don't see on YouTube, like a quirky advert or documentary. I'd then upload them on YouTube.

I took the quick way when I converted my old wedding video from VHS to DVD. Just plugged a video player into the dvd recorder with internal harddrive I have hooked up to the main TV in the house. Was easy as anything to get a working DVD with that setup and if I want it into the computer at some stage all I have to do is rip the DVD.
