[SPH]Galor
Hi all If possible to create a spawning area where a helicopter leave the players? I've seen maps where players after birth, you see a helicopter up, giving the feeling that had been left there for him. But if my memory is good, somebody got on a mission that the player could enter into a helicopter and fly over the map, then leave them in another area of the map. For the map I'm trying to do, it would be nice if the player gets closer to the area by helicopter (ideally boats but it certainly is not possible). Thanksssss
JohnTC02
I did a lot of testing with the Blackhawk (this is the only helli that will transport players), I have used this on a few of my maps and as you say some of these have the helli flying off as you spawn. On one of my coop missions I tried to use the Blackhawk as a extraction vehicle to take players out of the map but there were problems with this on a dedicated server, it would always crash the server when you entered the vehicle and more often than not only one player could enter the helli. I was never able to find a fix for this problem so I made a LAN only version of my mission where it was for one player only and seemed to work ok. There can even be problems just having the Blackhawk flying into the map, I had to remove it from some of my missions as again it crashed the dedicated servers as soon as the helli came into the map, this is a know problem with this helli, other modders have tried to use it but without success. I know Radiator was able to use the Blackhawk for transporting players around the map in his Blackhawk Down TvT map so maybe it works better on this type of mission. It might be worth contacting Radiator, maybe he has found a way of using the Blackhawk, even then if you are making a co-op mission I think you might have problems. As for using it to spawn players into at the start of a mission I have never tried it, if you get it to work the let me know, this would be very interesting. Good luck, John
