is this cooler okay for my CPU?

how big is it and how does it fit? i know that it has dimensoins on the details somewhere bit on a scale of 1-10 10 being MAMMOTH size

and 1 being a dainty little spot where would you put it?

using AMD phenom iiX2 black ed in jeantech unicorn case with 2 sytem case fans

Zeealice the dimensions are on the Amazon page under "Technical Details". On your scale its probably 6/7 though this is entirely subjective.

When installed it will be mounted over the CPU via a metal bracket and located onto the motherboard. The bracket is predetermined by the processor socket type (I think in this case it's AM3 but you need to have this confirmed). To achieve this you will also need thermal compound which forms a heat conductive layer between the processor top plate and the baseplate of the heat sink.

This may sound a bit fiddly but you should check one of the numerous "how-to" sites for installation instructions re a cooler of this type and probably "Coolermasters" own site.

The only other thing to make sure of is the case big enough to take a cooler of this size.

thanks anthony i was able to have a look at the unicorn case in person and i think that somehow it'll fit the case is massive thanks for the instructions on how this thnig fits on the socket AMD phenomii X2 is definately an AM3 socket it was confirmed by my shiny new motherboard yesterday

the old mobo literally just broke down when i shut the pc off yesterday but i had the money for a new one so i got one this morning
