Rocky
Lucky nobody got killed here, especially the actor running around with a fake gun to promote SC:C!!
WhiteKnight77
This is as big as the copyright fiasco on YouTube. Ubi really needs to fire their whole PR department as they just do not get it.
KRP 56
Another superb idea by UBI. Could this have been the brainchild of the same bunch that came up with the latest DRM wonder???
Daywanderer
Ubisoft marketing partner, Monaco Corporation, apologised for the mix up, but not before putting the blame on another marketing company it said it hired to organise the stunt. "This was by no means an attempt to get cops down there and get this sort of exposure," said a Monaco Corporation spokesman, adding: "It was just marketing gone wrong," I'm assuming the YouTube incident and DRM was not developed by a third-party marketing company xD The idea itself here is okay, but I guess those guys won't be trying this again without informing the authorities first. Kinda reminds me of a PR stunt Tele2 did last year: http://edition.cnn.com/2009/BUSINESS/10/27/latvia.fake.meteor.ft/index.html
