Help....got an error after installing ACE into ARMA2 and using launcher

UPDATE! just discover Six Updater....going to give it a try

SIX Updater will help... However the initial problem you are facing is that you do not have CBA downloaded, installed, or activated. ACE depends on CBA. The minimum set of mods you will need is ACE, ACEX, and CBA. As you already discovered you will also need to set up your userconfig folder.[/b] Other than that, I would suggest giving ACE_SM a go once you have things running.

Buehgler_AS, I reinstalled ARMA2>patched to 1.05???>extracted my ACE mods>installed current Six updater 0.9 version....but I cannot remember how I set up the userconfig folder and not sure where to d/l all those 4 files for ACE?

Can you assist please, where to get those 4 files?

The userconfigs can be found @ /Arma2/@ACE/store, there is a file named "userconfig.tar" which you have to unpack.

After that you need to copy them to the Arma2/userconfig/ace folder.

Six-Updater Question

I ran Six Updater with what I have d/l and this what I get....I do believe I can play it now, just need deciphering if this means anything I should be concerned of, as far us being updated or needs to be updated

That is correct w.r.t. the userconfig. As for your @ACE folders. It looks like something went wrong when you moved/copied them during your reinstall.

I think Nouty's Kung-Fu is much easier

I renamed all my ACE related folder

I made renamed my userconfig

Downloaded a more recent version of 6Updater Suite

I selected something like download & install ACE Vanilla and

in my poor DSL connected it loaded my ARMA2 folder

all the ACE related mod, placed "@" in front of the name

then I went to the ACE folder/store and found the userconfig folder in TAR file

I then I unzipped that into my ARMA2 folder with all the 4files

bad news: I'm at work and I can't play

back to my Ghost Recon Mod Headache

before I get into it, can you see if anything is wrong with my folders structure, i.e I'm not sure how to extract duala into main Arma folder

and if this is how you launch your mod (bottom of screen in Notepad)

A quick peek into SP, the Ghost Campaign doesn't show....must be the intructions in my Notepad
