Nice mod, campaign with many night missions, similar to GR, you can select your gear before engaging.

It uses characters from Ghost Recon series, same names i.e. Scott Ibrahim.

makes me wanna get ArMa2, though I haven't done squat with ArMa1 except many screenshots <_<

Same here.

I forget why I ruled it out, but compared to [OFP: DR]. The game that I thought was worth looking forward to, ArmA 2 is looking interesting.

I should research more into it, I understand it's gotten patched some.

Also, the idea of GR type mods of ArmA2 that lightspeed brought up, b4 the game was even released, sounded promising. The question is, can the sandbox be scripted into ArmA2? I think I heard the CQB was lacking, that might have been one reason I ruled the game out.

BTW, has the price dropped much?

Will download this, i just downloaded the ACE2 & ACEX etc stable versions, no need of the six updater anymore. Just remember to unpack the zipped userconfig file into your ArmA2 directory. Thanks to Armaholic for the downloads and of course sickboy, nice one people

Help....got an error after installing ACE into ARMA2 and using launcher

here's screenshot and error message underneath of launcher

thanks for help

UPDATE! just discover Six Updater....going to give it a try

SIX Updater will help... However the initial problem you are facing is that you do not have CBA downloaded, installed, or activated. ACE depends on CBA. The minimum set of mods you will need is ACE, ACEX, and CBA. As you already discovered you will also need to set up your userconfig folder. Other than that, I would suggest giving ACE_SM a go once you have things running.

I d/l the necessary add-on but not sure how this is added to the Arma 2 directory.

May I see how your directory is set up?

so I take all the required mods for GHOST are all inside the @GHOST folder then?

No no, keep each mod inside a respective folder, like Ghost for Ace mod inside "@Ghost", and Ace 2 inside "@ACE2", then activate the mods you want using the Arma 2 Launcher.

I see that I had one folder that was not there before, so I added it...if I could have you look at the left side for a second ...

hehehe...it's highlited. anyway, as you can see with the mod launcher how it's prioritized, its still hangs and accdg to Task Manager, it's still not responding. I may have to contact Mod creator on this one.

UPDATE 4/3/10 2352: weird that I can play Tempered Storm but not the other Campaign...btw, maybe it's a control issue with me or lack of experience with ARMA, but this Ghost Recon version is THE SHIZNITZ!!!!...at least that's what the kids call nowadays...I just hope it means positive or awesome

If you are previewing an Intro I think that will give you the boarders. Be sure that you are actually editing the mission itself and not an intro sequence. The simple test is to play one of the training missions and confirm that you are not seeing the boarders then. If the training missions work (and I suspect they will), then the black boarders are a result of something you have done in the editor or to the associated mission folder. If you really want to debug that problem, you will need to zip up the mission folder and post it along with the command line (or mod string) you are using to launch the game.
