The documentary seen sometimes on the discovery channel......."NAVY SEALS: In Harms way". Has been one of my favorites. Has anybody seen it? It has a great scene where a SEAL platoon were practicing in an urban area where they had a mock fire fight. That scene had great sounds of guns going off mostly from m60s and other rifles.

Well, I used a cable hook up and tied my cable box to my pc. I used the setup to record the the audio from the entire scene into a 16 bit mono file for use with ghostrecon. Heh heh heh. ;)

The trouble is i am having a heck of a time editing the scene to make gun sound files for ghostrecon. I identify an m60 with 2 different sounds. and a few rifles. Mostly its sounds of m60s going off.

The point is I need a sound expert to edit the sounds for use with ghostrecon. Can anybody take up the job? I would prefer that I get someone who has seen the tv show before but I will get anybody who can help.

So drop me a line if you want to take up the challenge. I will email you the file straight away.

I inserted markers in the sound file to seperate the different weapons. And it is in 16 bit mono wav format.

So..................can anyone help?? :unsure::unsure::ph34r:

Yeah its pretty cool!

Hey I read the tutorial. But it just shows you how to rename the sound you already have? I actually need more help with that. Like identifing sections that is needed for a continuing type of sound.

Shadow2k1? burke? where are yas?

Take the sound you recorded into Gold Wave. You will be able to modify it there and its easy to see where the sound changes are and make adjustments. Play around with it and see what you can do. I took the sound from a HK Pro .mov of a MP5 SD and took out the background sounds and modified the original to make a new MP5 SD sound.

Yep. There is no way a tv show producer can identify the sound I edit. Unless you tell him..........*shhhhhhh* ;)

Ok I will look into using goldwave to remove background sounds and stuff. Question: how much can you edit if it is only a 16 bit mono file your working with? How do you remove background noise then? Does it have to be a stereo recording to edit properly?
