Which CO-OP Missions and Campaigns to play?

Recommended Posts

Dear all,

My mates and I get together once a week to play LAN CO-OP.

Over the last few years, we have played through the GRAW1 and GRAW2 campaigns 2 times each :D

We are just finishing GRAW2 for the second time and are wondering what to do next.

I think we should play some of the many GRAW2 CO-OP Missions and Campaigns that are hosted on this site.

Could you point us to some of the best ones to start with?

Thanks.

:) Mike

Please Please attempt the maps on GRAW 2 and GRAW as the latest ones are excellent and make the game so much more playable.

There are many many players out there now that are making brilliant maps and are really showing up the makers of this game.

I have played GRAW and GRAW 2 since they came out and havent got tired with it yet !

New developments like the land mine and Brettzies weapons mod make this GRAW 2 game live on for countless years to come........just makes me really look forward to whats coming next.

I would really love to be able to drive tanks and vehicles in GRAW 2 and this is an area that hasnt been explored properly yet, so come on you talented sobs out there (and i know you are out there !) and get to it !

Anyone who hasnt played the game to its full extent is really missing out......and thats coming from someone who has played ARMA many many times......and I STILL prefer GRAW and GRAW 2 !

Thanks for your reply.

My problem is that there is like hundreds of custom missions for both GRAW1 and 2, and as the download section does not feature ratings, I was hoping for some input as to which were the best ones.

I like the bogie campains.

Awesome mission scripting and beautiful maps like forest or recruitment day and stuff.

Moreover there is a lil funny storyline and in the end ... wont tell to much. Great stuff !!!

My top list is:

Harry Lee (2056 AI Day 1)

Operation Journalist

Operation Zetas

Bastion de Pollux (GRAW1 map on GRAW 2 !!!)

Castor Fury

Operation: Orions Tequilla

Recruitment Day (KICKS ASS)

Coop Hell (Mean Mission) **check the readme**

Coop Compound (Awesome mission and map design)

Ghost Town

There are much more superb missions, but these are my absolutely favourites.

I think the modding freaks did a very special great job on that missions.

If your really want badass missions - check them out.

You will wonder what the modders created so far. Working mines, evil snipers, higher areas with much stairs to roofs, multiple tanks, havocs and armored vehicels.... ... That has nothing to do with the common GRAW 2 COOP.

Play that maps in combination with Brettzies weapon pack 2.05 and get some new weapons, sights and weapon sounds. Thats absolutely badass.

Have fun !

Regards

Ares

Hi all,

I just downloaded the coop_bogie_pollux_v2.bundle and put it in the Custom_Levels folder.

I start up GRAW2, pick "Multiplayer", "LAN Only", "Create Server" and "LAN Campaign Server" as I normally do when playing LAN COOP missions. However, only the GRAW2 standard missions are shown in the Levels window.

Am I doing something wrong?

The maps do show up in "LAN Server", but isn't that normal multiplayer mode?

Thanks.

Its probably not you as I had exactly the same problem with custom levels not showing up in the list at all myself.

The cure for me was to uninstall the game completely, reinstall it and then add the custom levels folder and it worked straight away......all the levels appeared in the list.

No idea what caused them to not appear, but this is what you probably will have to do to sort it out.

Good luck.

Hey MadMike,

I think there must be misunderstanding as to what type of mission you are playing. "Pollux" is a multiplayer Ghost Recon coop type mission (multiplayer mode). It is not a campaign. Bogie has put several of these missions together to form 2 seperate campaigns. One is the "Sanchez" campaign and the other is the "Vitale" campaign. These campaign's each consist of about 10 of the multiplayer missions tied together with a story line (just like the original game). They are available for download on this site. Once downloaded, they will appear in your menu on the "LAN Campaign Server".

So to play the "Pollux" mission you would have to choose either "Online Server" or "LAN Server". It will not appear in the "campaign servers". Hope this helps.

Thanks for clearing that up, rahnman. I'll try DL'ing some Campaigns instead.

Just wondering why all of these missions were created as "LAN server" coop multiplayer maps and not as coop campaign maps. Does people like not being able to custom pick your weapons but being limited to fixed kits?

:) Mike
