CONNECTION

Your On Line connection has been lost...

Posted on OFP Forums:

"Thank you for submitting your recent request to Codemasters Customer Services concerning Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising.

The Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising servers are currently experiencing excess demand, as everyone tries to connect to the game following the worldwide launch. We are working with the company that runs these servers in an attempt to increase this bandwidth, however we would expect demand to reduce following the peak that we expect this weekend, and so you should be able to connect more consistently after this time.

Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Found this, not tried it yet though.

you need public IP or router setup to forwarded port 9105/udp

HOST:

MULTIPLAYER > LAN > CREATE SERVER > set you server settings > CREATE SERVER

CLIENT:

MULTIPLAYER > LAN > IP ADDRESS > write HOST public ip address and press ENTER

Works, connected to another np.

Well Codemasters say's the lobby problem stems from Quazal PH# (514) 395-4646 <-----hehe

The middle guy of whom can't handle the load will also be doing UBIsofts next games.

“Cutting-edge multiplayer experiences are increasingly important to successful games,” said Christine Burgess-Quémard, executive director of worldwide studios at Ubisoft. “By securing this Enterprise deal(with Quazal), Ubisoft is positioning itself to be at the forefront of the next generation of online enabled titles.”

Correct & Quazal is Canadian, they are on national holiday today...

Anyone seeing similarities here? Seems like this genre is plagued with technical difficulties on release. Codemasters must have stolen Ubisoft's GRAW playbook and forgot to check the final score of the game.

Either way...the gameplay itself is really immersive and fun...the "before you get to play the game online" navigation crap is what has got everyone all chapped in the ass.
