Rocky
There are a few members here that like a good conspiracy theory, I count myself as one of them There's hardly a single source of information anywhere that can really, truly, be relied upon these days IMO, so reading a range of sources can only be a good thing - so long as you can tell the ludicrous from the plausible. The BBC published an article along those lines today, with a sceptic tagline, full article here - it mentions all the biggies, Kennedy, Moon Landing, 911, Loose Change, but focuses on the skeptics fighting back.... It also mentions a film I had never heard about, Ewan McGregor in the upcoming film, The Men who Stare at Goats.

Dick Splash
It also mentions a film I had never heard about, Ewan McGregor in the upcoming film, The Men who Stare at Goats. Why do I bother? Here's a good one I discovered yesterday. This bloke's called Henry Deacon and claims to have worked for the U.S. government for decades and has been to Mars twice via a 'Stargate' to an underground facility there and, to have 'Stargated' to Pine Gap [Australia's Area 51] from Area 51. Despite him recently 'coming out', his claims and confessing to have had a morphine addiction he has a brown government U.S. passport. We can also see the name Arthur Neumann in that passport too. It's worth doing a search about him and retired soldier, Bob Dean too. Both men claim that people from other worlds have been working with humans for decades. Good BBC find BTW. Rocky
Ah, okay, I have posted in your other thread. You really should make them a bit more visible, I dunno, maybe an emoticon or reference to pron in the title... I know the name Bob Dean, if I recall he is one of the more plausible UFO "exposers". For a slightly less plausible figure, but far more intriguing in his claims, check out Bob Lazar. I'm downloading the youtube movie now, it's an hour long!, so I plan on watching it later, plus the movie he mentioned at the start where B.Dean addresses a conference somewhere... Rocky
Okay I watched it (fell asleep and missed the last 10 minutes though). Looney toones, not recommended.
Dick Splash
Looney toones...I know. They're an odd bunch. The listeners seem to want to believe more than they want to ask direct questions. Perhaps for fear of having their illusions shattered. With the likes of Henry Deacon, it's as though he's partially come 'out'. He should be shouting out his real name, where he worked and this is what I did. Backing it all up with government payslips and whatever other proof he can. To say he's been to Mars twice to work with human-like beings that basically are watching us develop etc. etc. and that we're all one big family and that some of them might even be in the audience needs some evidence. If it's true, then aren't these people putting their former colleagues at risk? DS

Rocky
Wow, I don't think I have ever heard anyone of such standing talk about the existence of UFO's in such a matter of fact manner. Thanks for the link.
Parabellum
The candor with which that man spokes about aliens and alien technology frightens me. This is the type of person making decisions in the world today? It's no wonder we're all going down the tubes.
Rocky
"Former", he used to make important decisions, perhaps his outlandish theories are one reason behind that. Although, didn't Ronald Reagan make some comment about an alien connection, and Jimmy Carter report a UFO?
Parabellum
Good point, Rocky. No idea re: Reagan. As for Carter.... yeah. Does anyone take him seriously?

Deadpreacher
This is the speech I was thinking about, Reagan pulling the world together as one to repel alien forces. If Reagan was really hinting at something here. I have to ask why are we repeling them away? If they are in anyway harmfull to us as in take over or killing off all human race. I can see why, but then again if that was true. Do you think we really have a chance?
Dick Splash
The latest video I've watched is a presentation by a scientist that believes all three towers were brought down by an energy weapon, which she says would explain the majority of the concrete being turned into dust and the melted steel tower framework found after the collapse, including huge heat warped and bent girders. Vehicles parked in streets nearby that were on fire, yet there was no debris to account for the severe damage, let alone the fires, and some film and photos showed burning vehicles surrounded by office paper not burning. There were several views of a car park a good distance away from the WTC and many of the parked vehicles were on fire too. My 'X Files' theory is that there's a secret war going on between the earth and aliens and the aliens showed the world what they were capable of. Ruin
for the life of me i can't see a Alien race being harmfull to us except on a Goverment power level. Because we fear the unknown. Who knows what actual threat aliens could prove? Maybe they've unlocked the mysteries of the universe? Who are we? Where did we come from? Is there really a God? How old is the universe? Maybe they've been silently watching us for millenia and can tell us what our recorded history has failed us? I think the biggest threat a possible Alien encounter could pose is to completely shake the core of our beliefs. How would people react to find out, with proof, that almost everything with think we know, believe and hold close are all wrong? Just a thought... part of a conversation I had on an OP one long night ago.

Keep your eyes open about 2012 and this kind of thing in parallel, remember an external invasion would be the next "unkown enemy" of all time, perfect to group the masses world wide into a "one world belief system" I think visitation etc is old hat and been done time over, but the push to have it like an invasion or to not let us know a thing about it and then land a biggy on everyone has its "global benefits"

Since we're on the topic of outlandish theories, you know there are quite a few people whose research has led them to the conclusion that 2012 was actually 2007. If that's the case, then I'd have to say that the Mayan calendar nonsense is just that: nonsense. Either way, I think 2012 will come and go normally, just like every other year. calius
I agree Para. But then millions wouldn't and also many who push the info about this year. Loads about end of world, then loads about "new age" .. then loads about second coming ... (god or alien) ... lots n lots.
Ruin
What few realize is that this Mayan prediction predicts the end of one of their time periods (which name escapes me) The Great... something. Anyway, it's a measurement of time of about 5000 years, we're nearing the end of it. It never predicted the end of the world, just a giant Happy New Year.. type... deal. Hmmn. I need to read up on this again...
Rocky
Yeh, a big change, not the end, that's correct.

Yes indeed, but if hollywood has its way its all about the end of the world, and the new 2012 film (cant be bothered to link it becuase its so stupid) is also by the makers of Independence Day ... hmmmm nice little topic link by the same people. usual Hollywood tripe used to mask any proper details ... 2012 the new Y2K .. for clones.
