JohnTC02
Hi solero64, Welcome to the forums. Hmm, I can't actually remember how I scripted the ending of that mission, I know we tried to use the blackhawk as a extraction vehicle but was unable to get it to work with more than one player so I think you just need to stand under the blackhawk for the mission to end, I will have to unbundle the campaign and take a look at the scripting. As to your question about having all the AI on the map, unfortunately this is not possible as this would cause a lot of lag making the game unplayable, what I have to do is place location triggers on the map which when triggered these will spawn the AI for that particular area. All these triggers are is large circles or squares (sometimes I use polygons), when a player enters these triggers it will activate a script spawning "x" amount of AI, the maximum amount of AI on the map at any given time is normally around 25 depending on the size of that map, spawning to many will reduce your frame rate causing lag. With my missions I usually push the game to it's limits so I need to be careful how I manage the amount of AI. Hope this helps, John *EDIT* Just checked the scripting for Ghost Town and you need to be under the blackhawk along with any remaining Ghost AI (your team mates), once they are all in position the mission should end. John, Sorry for the late reply. Haven't been checking this forum in weeks. Thanks for your response. Indeed I did proceed to stay put under the chopper and had my men closely circle me... and it worked. Sorry to have made you recheck your campaign's script for me. Thumbs up on the whole bundle ! Again, it's one of the best out there with smartly placed AIs, a non linear mission scripting and tons of locations accessible for strategic placement. This must have been a b**** to encode (pardon my french ) Looking forward to a new campaign. Thanks again for everything
candy76041820
Got a small problem in the last mission in this bundle, the "Allied Force". When I finally get to the extraction point and wait for the three blackhawks to come to finish the mission, the one in the middle would sometimes stuck against a piece of metal sheet on the high bridge. Have to damage the metal sheet with an explosion (a rifle grenade, etc.) to let the helicopter go.
candy76041820
Sorry for bringing this old thread up, but I ENCOUNTERED SOME PROBLEM. The scenario is in Mission #2: Urbar War. I freed the pilot hostage, Michell and the pilot together run over the rooftops towards the extraction point. Teammates have been ordered to stay there. But pilot stopped before the last stairway, and won't walk down! He won't make any further moves even though I quick-saved and quick-loaded. JohnTC02, would you please check this out? JohnTC02
Hi Candy, This issue was mentioned when I made the co-op version of this mission. It's not necessary for the pilot to reach the extraction for the the mission to end, I did this as the pilots movement is a bit hit and miss, sometimes he will reach the extraction point but there are times when he will get stuck. Giving orders to the AI to move from the script is not very reliable plus Urban War was only my second ever mission so after all the problems I had getting him to move 40+ missions down the line I still haven't used that idea again. migryder
well if there is anything here about this I have yet to find it...so, am I the only one who has so much trouble accessing the roof to complete the Chemical Stores B objective on the Ghost Town operation map??? I've played the campaign at least three times including this trip through, so I've gotten up the steps before, but I do remember having a spot on the steps where I run into some kind of collision wall and have a really hard time gettin on up there...this time it is just not working out and it is things like this that make me angry at Ghost Recon franchise for not having at least a small jump capability...I state that because I've solved similar things in other games using that...like maybe hoppin up on that ledge that runs along the wall there and by-passin' that part of the stairs or going up the rail itself...anyway...Mitchell nor Brown can get past that issue this time..he goes up then turns left...I've tried using side step, different levels of stance..I even tried walking up backwards...nothing works..I'm stuck!! Maybe I could push him or another past that, but I don't think he'll go and place the C4! BTW looking at the structure, it seems the right hand rail of the steps passes through the above mentioned ledge on the biulding wall at the sticky spot, so maybe this causes it? Love your work JohnTCO2! OK, I just got it done by fast crawling all the way up, good thing I already blew that guard up or certain death for sure... mig Edited June 15, 2012 by migryder
JohnTC02
Hi Mig, God it's a while since I made this campaign, I don't recall having any problems getting up those stairs. If you have this problem again or you think I should look into it and release an updated version then let me know. John
migryder
Thanks for the reply John, Well I have that problem. but it seems that nobody has ever reported it so there is no real need to go in and change the map at this point...I now know how to get past it for sure anyway..some sort of overhang there...now that I finished the campaign, I will redownload it and try a new install if I choose to replay it in the future...maybe I got some kind of corruption on that map...I'll update you if I do that. mig

Bugs, although disturbing and frustrating, DO happen at a not-very-low frequency. Just restart the mission and watch if the problem disappears. graw2latebloomer
Hi. First off, I really enjoy this campaign, very hard. However, I cannot place the C4 on the control panel in mission Combat Dawn. 1) I have tried doing all other objectives then the control panel 2) I have tried doing control panel first 3) I always make sure the helicopter crashes to the ground from the starting intro part 4) I have tried blowing up the walls around the marker and have walked, crouched and laid down all around it to no avail. Solution: Start level again, loading from previous level. Do the control panel first. After a number of goes you can place the C4 Problem 2: Stairs in Ghost town level. . . Thanks. janmitchell
I've been playing your mods for years. Since recently I can't get the control panel to show a C4 pack anymore. I tried the above, I reinstalled everything, even GRAW2 itself. Only thing: make the heli "crash" at the beginning, that I don't understand. Other suggestions ? greetings , Jan

JohnTC02
WOW it's great to see that people are still playing my old GR:AW2 mods but unfortunately I no longer do any modding nor do I have any of my old mods or even have the game, I think it's safe to say that they are now out of warranty. Sorry I can't help you as I wouldn't know where to start with modding the game anymore, in fact I didn't know anyone was still playing it.
