dporter
Ok I used to have a xbox 360 a couple years ago and I sold it because we didn't have internet. Now we have decent internet in our area so I picked up a recertified 20 gig from newegg for $149. The problem I'm having is that I want to create a xbox live profile but when I had the xbox 2 years ago I had created one on there and it is associated with my hotmail account. I want to start a new fresh online profile but when I tried to do that last night the console kept asking me if I wanted retrieve my old profile instead, I kept hitting no but it would send me right back to the screen where I enter my email and password. It basically was forcing me retrieve my old gamer tag instead of being able to set up a new one. Do I have to create a new hotmail account in order to create a new online profile or am I missing something here? Thanks for any help that can be provided. Thanks. No, just sign in with your Hotmail address and password at http://live.xbox.com/ Then click on your old gamertag name (at the top) and you should be able to go to a page where you can edit your profile and change your gamertag, gamer picture, etc. That way you can keep using your existing Hotmail account. dporter
Thanks for the tip. It looks like it will cost 800 microsoft points if I want to change it. I'll probably just keep it or create another hotmail account.
