viper-6 0
I've had all kinds of problem's trying to host on UBI, in fact, after trying everything and posting help request's everywhere, I'm convinced that it just dosen't work for some people. After reading another post in this forum about Game Spy Arcade, I decided to give it a try. Well, I have to announce to everyone that it works beautifully. No bugs, easy to set up and very user friendly. I can now host games without any problems and so far, no problesm with lags or system crashes. I know there are some dedicated UBI folks out there but for anyone else that is fed up with UBI give Game Spy Arcade a try. My Webpage
Stinger_cnd 0
Every time I log into the GR lobby there seems to be something try to write or access my HDD causing a grinding sound. This has been going on for about 4 weeks now. One week ago I reformatted my HDD and reinstalled ubi. Still the same problem exists even after repeated uninstall/ reinstall attempts. This is the error I get when it crashes: Gs4 has caused a error in Lobbypluggin.dll Edited May 19, 2003 by Stinger_cnd
SOTOMac 0
Every time I log into the GR lobby there seems to be something try to write or access my HDD causing a grinding sound. This has been going on for about 4 weeks now. One week ago I reformatted my HDD and reinstalled ubi. Still the same problem exists even after repeated uninstall / reinstall attempts. This is the error I get when it crashes ; Gs4 has caused a error in Lobbypluggin.dll I got the same Error last Week and nothing I did with Ubi - "As it was" - Would fix what was NOW obviously wrong... The LOBBYPLUGIN.DLL had somehow become Corrupted. I fixed this Probelm by going into Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and I then Uninstalled "ubi.com". I allowed the Uninstall to complete and then I Rebooted. On Reboot and once My System had stabilised Itself - I inserted the Original Ghost Recon CD and Explored the CD, navigating to the Folder on that CD called - Ubi. In this Folder is a Setup.exe File that will Reinstall Ubi to Your PC. I doublecliked that Setup File and Ubi then Reinstalled Itself to My PC. There was of course the Necessary Updates and Patches but once that was done it was back to the Lobbies and All was as It had been... Sincerely,
BlueRose_76 0
Check also Topic: * Please Read if you are trying to use UBI * I'm completly fed up with ubi though. Or try the accessing the dedicated servers. You find the IP's in this forum at the Games Room. It works so much better (your only worries are not to get shot in the ass instead of the loss of fun thanks to the inconvenient ubi software). I understand the company UBI is important for the distribution etc of GR and other games but i really don't understand why they make such lousy, crappy software that cost you lots of valueble playtime. Anyway, game on Regards, BlueRose
Stinger_cnd 0
I tried the new install from the CD as well as from Ubi and still got the error. So to heck with Ubi, hello Game Spy and Seeing Eye
