Tinker
I have had my Samsung 245b for a fair time now. Usually, I try to clean my PC`s every month or so, usually lot of dust etc.. Recently, I hear a small cracking / popping ? sound, from the monitor. Googles says that this is caused by build up of dust in most cases. Anyone open there monitor and cleaned it before, have any advice? Looks a touchy subject From what I found so far, I should unplug it, and leave it for at least 1 full hour before opening it. Have not opened 1 before, but understand the higher risk of electricity. Just don`t want to break it.

Tinker
Exactly. Do not open the monitor! You may get an electric shock even if the monitor is unplugged. Read up a little, monitor will of been off for 24 hours. Going in tomorrow.

Tinker
Took out 4 screws at the rear, monitor seperates from the stand. I see no way to open the monitor though, have tried pushing and pulling around the edges, talked nicely to it, nothing moves.

Tinker
Have not plugged the 24" back in yet. Running here with a 19"x19" @ 1280 x1024 Not 1 single little issue here at all. I have reported in the past of my nvidea driver stopping while in certain games and editors after long periods. Have to close PC down usually the hard way. Have always had it since 6 months into having the 24 monitor. I am thinking there is a over heating problem when running the 24. Not too sure. Looking into 2 options at present. 1: Get a custom case with extra cooling. 2: Buying a 22" and see how that get`s on. But all plays and works here so much smoother with this monitor. Tinker
24" went back on tonight. Had not 1 single crash up until now on the 19" in any game. Arma2 CTD after 20 mins at 1900x1280. Reduced to 1280x1024 played for 2-3 hours with no problems. Call of Juarez CTD after 10 mins at 1900x1280. Then CTD at 1280x1024 after 30 mins. Going for option 3... Will grab new Graph card first and try. 9800GTX looking like the 1. *Edit* Have a freind in the US ordered me the 9800GTX from newegg.
