Motion Capture tech moves on

Recommended Posts

Ubisoft have always delivered impressive motion capture (IMO), now there's a new kid on the block looking to replace motion capture with intelligent CPU calculated movements. The demo is pretty impressive, if the CPU load in the end product is not prohibitive, this could surely save developers a heap of money.

Ubisoft rarely uses motion capture, actually -- very minimally next to other developers. They animate by hand with keyframing, much to their credit.

As for eurphoria, yes! It's awesome. Grand Theft auto 4 used it (i think, maybe a competitor) quite extensively.
