Halli~SPARTA~
Yeah I'm ready for this game............. I hope It becomes our focused or primary game.
firefly2442
I hope they have some actual gameplay so we can see what it's like. The screenshots look great but I always like to see gameplay and what the pacing is like.
Sup
There are some bits of gameplay in their trailers -- it looks much faster, tighter, and more streamlined than Arma2 -- very much like console GRAW still looks promising, just maybe not for the most obsessively sim-minded

Sup
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-7DdBQGhxA gameplay as expected it's a nice, open shooter, probably room for some fun tactics, but nothing of the realism in ARMA2. He spends quite a while hanging out in the open trading shots with a machinegun nest that doesnt seem too intent on killing the player. ROCO*AFZ*
Looks cool... i'll probably pick it up when it comes out.
rookie
Darn. I still had hope but with the gameplay that last bit of hope is buried. Battlefield - Dragon Rising - now it's official. Will be fun, no doubt, but the line "most realistic shooter ever" already is a huge joke. I am sure they will work on the small things though - like the seizure the player is obviously having whilst moving.
2nd Ranger
[/knee jerk] That is obviously on one of the easiest settings; the kind of mode they include to make BF2/CoD players feel at home. Either that or God mode is on. CM have stated there will be a 'hardcore' mode for fans of high realism. But yeah, seriously, what is up with that movement. It looks like Yakety Sax should be playing. firefly2442
I wonder if that gameplay video was from the console version? I imagine they would probably have to tone down the difficulty because the movement probably isn't as fluid as a keyboard+mouse.
2nd Ranger
Maybe, all of the other media of late seems to be from a console version.
Buehgler_AS
This type of clip really does not do much to improve my understanding of the game. The interface looks strongly console biased (was it a console or PC clip??). The movement looked awkward and imprecise -- is that fundamental or just a side effect of how the clip was made. And obviously the all-auto, god-mode BF style of play is designed to target an audience that I am not a member of. So in the end I really do not think I know any more about this game than I did before I saw the clip. I'll keep waiting for a demo or some real details, but I will keep playing ArmA (and soon ArmA II) while I wait/watch.
NoQuarter
This is an old image, and hopefully does not reflect the current -or final- build, but with such a far-fetched :AW-like inventory, along with those stepped experience levels/modes, it makes you wonder how they can expect to live up to the way they are marketing this title. SS do look good though.

2nd Ranger
I'm pretty sure that inventory menu image was just a mock-up, not an actual shot, released ages ago. EDIT Uh.... that second video... "Hey guys, good luck guarding this radar station. Oh by the way, here's a barrel of highly unstable tannerite and magnesium. You'll probably want to keep it next to the radar." Also, it looks like you have to use a silly GRAW-esque interface to switch to your GL and back, i.e cycling through a menu. If a real-life action requires nothing more than relocating your hand, then the game control should be no more complicated than a single key press. That really annoyed me about GRAW. Sup
in codemasters' defense, it looks fun -- like farcry 2 with a squad. But not ofp.
Magnum50
just FYI... the version at E3 was a 360 console version, with easy settings only... I played it, most tactical game on a console to date... it was a beta, early beta... it had bugs and problems but the dev who I talked to listened well to my opinion and thoughts... check www.simhq.com for more info. =warcloud=
in codemasters' defense, it looks fun -- like farcry 2 with a squad. But not ofp. I think it looks great so far, i'm not personaly into total realistic life-like shooter games tbh and i don't know of any other than joining an real life armed service, i just like a video game that has top notch graphics with reasonable wide open spaces to fight, lot's of guns and the tools to mod for longevity and a kickass simple to use editor. Which brings me to arma1, it took me a while to get used to the system/game but now i find arma a realy fun game with all the addons to boot, so to speak. I thought ofp was a fun game, nothing spectacular imho. I'm sure dragon rising will be a cool game.
viiiper
Heads up, next week Cm are releasing some ingame footage of what some call 'Hardcore mode' or Assists off mode. I'll post as it's released. IT will be an intermix with preset motion sequenced clips for drama, but it's probably from PC, I will confirm with IAN from CM. p.s. Yes it's no OFP1, but if it's an intermixed game with lashings of [GR] & a splash of ARMA & GRAW, I won't be disappointed. You want OGR2, tell RSE or BF to pull their fingers out
