Technically-oriented GR Modding Forum?

Recommended Posts

I would appreciate being pointed to a GR modding forum which tends to deal with technical non-modeling issues, or at the least, a forum which has people who can help with technical non-modeling issues. Neither of the two GR modding forums that I know of is helpful in this respect. Thanks.

Heh. Thanks, but that's not quite what I meant. I didn't mean "technical support," I meant technical as in "complex." I need a forum which can help with stuff like my question about changing explosion modeling in GR to make explosions more realistic. I asked about that here and on Cocobolo's forum ("Inverse-square Blast Radius?"), and neither forum generated a single response. Both of these forums are oriented towards modellers, not modders. So I'm looking for a forum that is the other way around.

Thanks again for any help.

There are people who can help. However, sometimes a thread just doesn't have it's day.

Keep trying, people here are great and can get you out of some sticky situations.

I think your main resources would be here and The Platoon. Or, f you're lucky, there might still be developers browsing the Official forums at www.ghostrecon.com in the dev forum. I've had some pretty technical questions answered there, but many get missed, and threads stay in order of posting date, so many get buried.

Bump away Bro. Sometimes you gotta float back to the top a few times.

I am curious about the original question. Can you point me to it?

I have played a little bit with shaped charge projectiles while trying to mimic the depleted uranium penetrating round used in the M1 Abrams.

If you are talking about supported attributes for explosion effects, most of the attempts I have seen and read about altering these values beyond those supported ranges result in an application AV.
