Sup
http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-09-splinter-cell/50194 -better video this looks fantastic. A departure from the roots of splinter cell, i'm sure there will be some moaning about lack of realism, but this looks like it's going to nail the action movie/24 style spy motif way better than any game before it. For what it is, it looks ace. Splinter cell's old gameplay was starting to wear a bit thin after 40 missions, anyway
=warcloud=
"Panther has been secured" Excellent, looks fast and furious, some great combination moves and take downs. Glad to hear mike ironside's voice for fisher. Was hoping for a summer release but i think it's window of release is autumn/fall?.
firefly2442
Looks great. I'm a little sad the stealth element is being toned down but it's good that they're trying something new.
2nd Ranger
This looks awesome. Very Bourne. I always thought the main things the SC series lacked were solid melee and shooting mechanics. I know the series is about stealth, but in the first couple of games at least, you couldn't hit jack ###### with your weapons. That was particularly annoying when there were scripted moments where you were forced to kill a horde of bad guys. Also, it looks like nobody has a problem with killing anymore, which is always a plus. Woooah, I just noticed that 'mark and execute' thing the guy talks about. I always wanted to see that in a game like this; where you can plan your moves ahead of time and execute precision attacks. That is very cool. Deadpreacher
this looks fantastic. For what it is, it looks ace. Splinter cell's old gameplay was starting to wear a bit thin after 40 missions, anyway Yea in a small way i want to complain about it, but i like to see more action from Sam anyways. In the old games i felt like come on Sam could take these guys on open handed, instead of running away just becuase hes been seen! Hated running away. This new one looks great with some stealth still with more combat. It could be the mix i been looking for. So im going to save my complaining until after i play the game if it doesnt work right. To much action could ruin the game if over done. It is Sam Fisher after all! Also i am not to worried as of yet on the new stlye of the game play just yet, but there is one thing i am kind of peved about. The game seems to take on full AUTO AIM. It still may not be as bad as i think i seen so far, but for some reason full auto aim turns me off. Looks like you shoot one thing and it jumps to the next. So its fire as fast as you can and he hits everything. Beyond that i can't wait to see what they going to do with the MP since thats the main selling point for me anyways. No matter what they do to the SP it all comes down to the MP on if its a buy or not. So yes the game does look great and the change can be for the better. Its just the Auto Aim is the only thing on my worried list.
rookie
Wow, looks like Sam Fisher has taken some Jason Bourne-ish-moves! I absolutely adore it. After the disappointing Double Agent this looks like a proper Sam Fisher-Game. Not on my radar before after DA, SC Conviction just made it onto my Most Wanted-List! Of course I hope they will include a health-system again. This way the player has to think twice how he approaches a situation - look for health packs, do I have any ? No, extra careful then! We'll see how it progresses, looking forward to PC-footage. Edited June 12, 2009 by rookie
