migryder
BTW gang...there are some random elements to some of the missions...could be a patrol that shows up in a different area on patrol..could be the number of suitcase nukes that you must find in a mission...or which PC has some critical data...or at which work station you will find some CDs... also I have assigned many shared plans to patrols...I have created multiple zones in a trigger plan and then assigned that plan to several teams of say 1-4 actors..so what you get are a bunch of guys wandering around on the map with as much randomness as the engine sees fit to apply...depending on the situation of course..those teams may all head toward trouble...maybe not...the goal was to give you some replay opportunities in both SP and COOP modes...I tested this once on sleeper's snipe map and set four zones at the corners of that map..then assigned the shared plan to several teams who began patrolling the entire map.. also a couple of maps have secret stashes that can replenish your kit..usually after something else has occurred..so you may see CONGRADULATIONS YOU KILLED THE TUNGUSKA! and see that your rockets were replenished or your support kit as it is proximity dependent not necessarliy for who killed the tank but for whoever happens to be standing next to the cache...check all crates and such for these opportunities..and yea it was SAM 'taught me this...matter of fact there is a SUPER SECRET CD in the mod somewhere..but heck, I forgot to enable any prize for it, the thing is well placed too... mig

Giampi
I've been waiting for this moment for years literally. And this moment came when I'm abroad and I just spent around 9 euro for the wifi connection in the hotel to download this best, 9 euro spent, I'm sure, with pleasure. Tomorrow going to reinstall Windows and then GR to enjoy this magic mod! Thanks a lot Mig and crew!
migryder
Thanks Lighty n GWDS hope you get to have a look G... To accompany Mig's Russia-themed P2, the Big Picture has photos of Russia's military parade, so you can get a sense of what you're up against. I recognized these guys... this got me thinking bout when I researched this stuff...here are a couple of spooky pics of patrs of the Novosobirsk facility..considering the implications... always a dead give away for these sites...if looking for em this is easiest thing to find first if one is associated..heliport. http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t101/mi...sobirskcopy.jpg and AFIK here is where the Big Bears sleep...note the training vcls...and a "fire"break around the place.. http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t101/mi...obirsk1copy.jpg they park the TOPOLs in the drive through buildings..the roofs can be opened to allow direct launch..or of course they can go traveling... maybe someday there can be an add on map of this for P2 and a mission too of course.. mig
TheoRetiKule
D'ld and finally survived that first mission. Verdict on this basis alone? simply awesome work by Mig, Phlookian and the team. (BTW, I think the hostiles somehow blew up one of their own tanks... or was that just wishful thinking on my part?) As the man said, 2 thumbs up... Now I've gotta find time to tackle the other 23 missions? Theo PS: didn't see any fishin' poles in the kits there... maybe there's an unlockable specialist with a little pack rod, though? Hehe... migryder
Nope that was your UN back up..remember from the briefing? Hope you did not shoot those guys! I forgot to punish you for that...guess I'll address that on any update patch..there is a big difference in the difficulty of that mission if they fail to get the tank out front...just ask Janie42.. dag! You know I wanted to put an Orvis in the shack on Black Wolf Bridge! Forgot to get that and the waders in there too...guess you'll have to use an ultrafastcast projectile "rod"..hehe...or the redneck "gross collection" method... mig
Phlookian
Following a recent enquiry (along similar lines) I'd just like to clarify the situation regarding some of my content for this mod. Items like the placeable objects will be released at some time or other in the future as a stand alone mod so that modders can include them in their own missions If anyone has looked into this already, there is a confusing number if different versions of the same items These were all made for different reasons and some have issues regarding servers etc I plan to make a document that will catalogue all the objects and their various advantages & disadvantages (but have not done so yet) I plan on including some reference max files for the various objects as I discovered a couple of useful tricks during my time making them (these may not be news to modders who have made similar items but they may help someone) The Blackwolf map & my vehicles will also be released seperately, and again I intend to release max files and modding guides. None of this is ready just yet (and it wouldn't be appropriate at this time in any case), this is of course not of interest to anyone as you're all too busy playing P2 anyhow (it has been kinda quiet around here )
GreyHaired
The maps are so amazing with lots of eye- and ear candy that you sometimes forget to shoot the enemy, get shot and must restart. So it'll take some time to complete the campaign and give feedback here

Giampi
I can say I'm happy like a child on Christmas day! This mod is spectacular! I love the wolves in mission 2, I actually forgot the enemies to hunt them Also if you check the mod folder you will find a new great version of Pressure (P1) with new retextured maps, I love particularly the caves one, it looks a completely different map! Again, thanks one more time
migryder
...and there IT is.....suffice it to say...we got tired of just hearing the dog.....soooo Phlook came through...and you can see a wolf, not just hear em.and they make the mod for me... thats also why I think it appropriate that map is where you meet up with cobaka's little trucks..for those who remember his avatar... btw that version of caves GWDS refers to is Lancer's retexture...from Winter Wildeness mod. Some nice maps there. mig
migryder
P201_Rolling Bears mision patch in download enrty... http://download326.mediafire.com/c1zgwyzzc...-patch-v1-1.zip this is a single mission file that corrects the omission of a Begin Recording Replay command line at the end of the SP cinematic...simply unzip and copy this file into your Ghost Recon\Mods\P2\mission folder and allow it to overwrite...an updated modscont was not included so it will still read v1.00...if you only plan to play coop mode this patch would not be necessary..I had to zip it in order to attach it to a PM for Rocky. mig
KRP 56
Also if you check the mod folder you will find a new great version of Pressure (P1) with new retextured maps, I love particularly the caves one, it looks a completely different map! As if 24 gut wrenching missions isn't enough Mig hit's us with a hidden surprise of more action with P1 revised. Looks like he's made this mod so big that the snow may very well be flying before we can play it all.
Giampi
Ok mission 3 this night. Demo kit??? Where I suppose to find them? do I need to go back on those posts on top of the bridge with the only man left I have??? This brings me to the question: is the cave/waterfall the only way to go up/down the levels? But.... the injured ghost!!! WOW!!! (no spoilers)

(no spoilers) The demo kit is very close to the demo charges Yes the caves are the only route (the idea was to make the most out of the 400 x 400 map, & even there I failed because I overstepped the boundaries) Glad you're enjoying the mod
migryder
I answered this Q via PM for another memeber just awhile ago - so I'll state here what I mentioned there..think of of it as the demo "kit" is really supplies you would need to set up that demo network...so there you are doing your demo work and pretty much finished up when you get a call that you need to get back up top ASAP.... BTW if you have the survivor in tow and only one guy and are messing with this? well..listen to the wolves brotha... yea that survivor guy is pretty amazing..Phlookian yet again. mig
Rocky
I've been playing mission 2, really like it a lot. Nice work on the interactive suitcase, very slick. I am not familiar with the map though (great map), I've been all round and am I right in thinking it is not possible to get up to the top of the bridge? I've been firing RPGs into the guardhouse up there....
migryder
you can and must get up there to complete two of the objectives...just gotta snoop around...stand at that shack and have a real good look around..ask yourself...now if I were a wolf or a snow leopard(I believe they do populate the Altai)...looking for an easy path up there, where would I go look first...? HINT - The map has two levels...how are they usually connected? If you still have trouble PM me Rocky...Find any MANPADS yet? The helo? There are three of those but only one is randomly selected to show up... mig
Phlookian
As a visual hint, I made the pathway up with a different texture to the surrounding rocks. Failing that, if you just hold out your left hand and touch the wall as you walk all around the map, you'll eventually find it

I felt sure the roacks at the waterfall were a path up, but no joy - I shall try again!

teddemen
hi, i finally got my GR working again (had some issues after installing 1.4 patch) and i downloaded the frostbite and P2 mods. this is the first time ive ever played a GR mod, and im pretty excited about it! (who would have thought i would ever get to play a real GR mission again) i just have a couple of questions; is it posible to skip the intro movie before the first mission? when i try to do a quicksave F6 it says failed.... quick load F7 takes me to another game level alltogether. (am i supposed to delete the test saves in order to stop this from happening?) cheers. and thanx to all the people who put the hard work into making this mod. migryder
I messed up on that script and did not insert the command line Begin Replay Recording after the cinematic...there is a fix for that now in the Download Entry...it is a zipped file using IZARC..I had to zip the small thing to get it attached to a PM for Rocky..anyway this will fix the issue with kicking you to another level save...the cinematic in p201 does not have an option to skip the cinematic by the way... http://download326.mediafire.com/neos3pxpm...-patch-v1-1.zip the link has v1.1 but there is no updated modscont so it will still show as v1.00..unzip and then copy and paste the file into Ghost Recon\Mods\P2\mission folder and allow it to overwrite the old file... Re: Intro Movie - Load Ghost Recon then select the Options button from the Main Menu slpash screen - Select GAMEPLAY tab and then uncheck Show Intro Movie.... then click on the Accept tab...next time you load up it will go right to the Main Menu splash.. glad you got the patch thing worked out...enjoy mig
Rocky
Yes the caves are the only route (the idea was to make the most out of the 400 x 400 map, & even there I failed because I overstepped the boundaries) Did you create this map specifically for P2? It's a fantastic map - I really enjoyed it. Oh I forgot to mention to mig, right at insert in mission 2, if you head straight down to the nearby stream, there's an invisible vehicle there...? I was also intrigued by the control panel at the entrance to the caves,...
Phlookian
Thankyou (glad you liked it) This map first started as a request from Jay 316 as a jungle map for the Korean Centcom add-on (but he kindly let me steal it back and turn down the temperature a little for P2) Its much the same in principal as the Centcom idea (except that Mig gave me free reign to indulge myself) Hence it now over-spills the command map by a good 100 metres & has lots of dynamic objects & cool stuff (congrats on letting your sniper loose on the beasties, most of these so called special forces types have turned out to be pretty poor hunters, good thing they carry lots of rations ) The only thing that dissapoints a little is the trees (but you can't have 1000 trees & bushes without oversimplifying them) Your other questions really are a mystery, I did make an invisible vehicle for the cinematics ( a kind of camera platform) but I couldn't see it in the script anywhere Can you give me the grid loc of this "control panel"? just go into the console command and type: loc (or maybe describe a little where exactly near the caves it is) I certainly didn't include it in the map............ weird Any how, have fun with the dusk mission, its the same map again but with different dynamic objects
