Back looking for work again.

My contract is running to an end and due to the status of the current projects in their pipeline they can't give me a new contract so I've decided to go back home even if I don't find any work in games. Who knows it may be time again to find a new line of work as I've done so many times before. But there is still some hope that I may remain in game development in the future... time will tell.

Why dont you try a start up.

What, like BFS? That's insanely difficult to pull off.

Sorry to hear about that Wolfsong, I'll be hoping something turns up for you. Get that CV updated and start emailing.

Good luck mate.

There is many small companies back home formed from people both from Grin and Starbreeze, which are starting to need people now that they have established themselves with publishers and gotten their economy going, so I think there will be work for me sooner or later.

But first of all... I'm getting married in august so that is a big reason I've decided to move back home even if there I can't be guaranteed a job right now.

Great to hear. What sort of genre will you be working on?

The only big titles Avalanche Studios have put out so far are Just Cause 1 & 2. So 3rd person action is a good guess.

They also did The Hunter but I think that is now part of the company they have started to handle online games.

That's great to hear, thanks for the update

“We are currently working on a bigger project in CryENGINE 3, and thanks to the excellent technology and support from Crytek, we have been able to carefully handcraft a playable prototype that will knock your socks off.”
Very Interesting :)

[Post Edited]

They did a decent job with GRAW 1 and 2 with what Ubi gave them, so I'm really hoping that this new game on CryEngine 3 is a tac shooter.
