We have one in our upcoming MOD.

It's the black Steyr AUG "Shadow" with a suppressor. The sight is an Elcan "Wildcat" sight.

Obviously it will be a specialist weapon ;)

WOW, Psycho Dad - that looks really good!

you definatly need to find a way to get that out to the public, the only thing I can see wrong from that render is that the scope needs a little more work.

Thanks Viper! Your weapons, by the way, are awesome. Can't wait for the Stabilise Mod. Yea the scope was kind of hard for me as a rookie, so I just made it with cylinders and scope textures. You Trijicon is beautiful. (hint,hint)

I do have it in a little mod I made to use with my online buddies. As a matter of fact, a couple of your guns are in there I think. I just picked a few of the best guns I saw out there and put them in a smaller mod for us. I'll see if Rocky wants to post it. Feel free to take what you like from it. That mod also has my Chicken launcher too!

Also, I couldn't leave well enough alone, and put an M203 on it!Steyrm203Sil.jpg

unfortunatly I do not have nearly the 3DSM skills of AUS_viper ... I just do skins

That -203 looks a little small, the barrel needs to be much wider (closer to the width of the supressor), and the hand grip does not extend quite that far. the idea of a Gl on that gun is cool, if you can make enough versions of the gun it will be a much better mod - a version with a red-dot sight of some kind would be cool, and maby a sniper scope as well.

Yeah it does look a bit skinny eh? More like a 20mm than 40! I noticed that too late. The launcher was kind of an afterthought, and I ripped though it too quick. I tried to fix it quickly, but the textures got all mixed up. Think I'll have to start the launcher from scratch again. I'll try to do it in the next day or two, and update my mod. I'll send it to you if you want.

I tinkered with sounds for the first time on this one, and they came out pretty good as well.

My stuff is not up to aus_viper's quality, but it's still fun to shoot commies with! Like you said, if I keep doing it and they have to get better!

By the way, my wife wants me to tell you I spent way too much time on this gun! lol!

Thanks Gen. Montgomery, but I'm not sure a pic will really help a newbie like me. The reason my scope is nothing hot is because I couldn't extrude it circular in 3DSM from the photo I had, so I had to make it out of cylinders. Actually I thought I did pretty well on it considering my inexperience. The only thing that would help me is if someone gave a MAX file of a scope already built, then I could merge it in.

As for the launcher, I gave it another go, and I think it looks more like the real thing now. Close enough for me anyway!

that lookes much better - I will download it of you get it out. (tip - even if you can't make a better scope modle, a good texture could make it look much better)

just a tip also,i see a gap in between the scope and the carry handle you could make a smaller square in the middle of them to just to make it look like an attachement.but over all its good and you should render the gun in 3ds max and then save the picture there instead of take a screenshot,it makes it look better

Actually, AUS_Viper doesn't do any 3DSM work in Op. Stabilise mod...it is his baby, he did all the skins, designed all the new specialists, is scripting all the missions and cinematics...but all the weapons are modelled by me :P

Thanks guys. For the tips too. I don't think I'm going to do much more on this gun, as I've already made my online buddies patch the mod about a million times! Maybe for my next release of the mod. (I just update it with guns and change the letter, ex: PD Weapons Mod 1D)

Ive actually grown to like the scope. In the game, it looks alright.

I see you point about rendering rather than screenshots, but I can't seem to change the black background. Even when the little sqaure in the render window changes, it stays black.

I also, arrrghh, started a new gun, for my next version of the mod. A silenced UMP45 with no stock.

Streinger....I forgot you in the last post. I though you did the 3D for all those weapons. You do great work. Really clean and neat renders. Try not to laugh to hard at my guns!

But hey, it's all for fun sake right? That's why were all here. Besides, how closely can you look at the gun when you're in the heat of battle, right? I got caught looking at a guy carrying one of my guns the other night, and got toasted by an enemy!

wow, that UMP looks just as good as the AUG - why no stock though, of all the guns to shoot without a stock a .45 SMG would not be on the top of my list. other than that it looks great, the sights need some more work though
