Steyr zoom??

Does any-one know what the actual zoom is on the steyr. I've got it at 5x but I think it's a bit high.

Standard Steyr is 1.5x, heavy barrel one (HBarT) is 6x.

I have also herd they use 4x scopes (depends on the unit and user I think, the AUG is used by many differant countries). with a differant reciever it can mount any scope though.

Thanx guys, I cut it back to 3.5x otherwise you can hit targets anywhere on the map. I think I read that the ozzy version has a weaver type mount or something for mounting different optics.

ya... if you mount the picatinny rail you can mount everything... but standard ones are 1.5x and 6x (for the hbart)...

3.5x doesn't exist at all...

On any non-sniper weapons I make it a rule of thumb to never make zoom more than a X4 in power. I also reduced accuracy to no better than 10 in the prone position for non-sniper weapons.

What is the point of your sniper if your rifleman or support expert can do the same job?

I agree with what you say about the snipers militiman, I was using 3.5x cause i think thats what the sa80 is at. Instead of limiting accuracy i tend to up the recoil. That way single shot is still fairly accurate but it's usless to "spray and pray."
