There was a mission where you had to do something at a building that sat very low to the ground, even partially below the mean grade if I remember right. Ideas? -Doc It doesn't match exactly your description, but I remember The Dam as the quintessential "steep" map, as it has a very large valley with steep sides. I also seem to remember that HX5 had several maps with rounded, steep hills, so maybe you're thinking of that? Just my quick ideas, though. Could be something else entirely... That's a massive map, isn't it? I remember it being really laggy, but on my old computer. It probably runs just fine on new stuff... I'll have to try it out again. But no, not that one. Hammer Posted January 27, 2009 Share Posted January 27, 2009 I remember playing a map that had a single steep sided hill in the middle of the map with a building at the bottom of the slope 1/2 buried in the hill, so you could run down the hill and onto the roof. this hill was then surrouned by 3-4? smaller but still steep sided hill and 2 of them had single story structures on top with a lot of junk lying around out side. I haven't done a very detailed job of trying to describe it... let me try to do a better job: I think it may be an island, but not tiny. Definitely shoreline though. Several extremely steep (but climbable), tall hills that are fairly narrow. There is a house at the base of one of the hills. On top of a much lower, wider rise, there is a one story building that I believe is partially below ground level. Like a basement with those narrow windows at the top of the walls, but with no house on top of it. Not really any sharp, angular cliffs of mountain type hills that I can remember. It was definitely a night map. I remember it being dark in that when you hid in the bushes, it was darn near black. I appreciate the help! We'll come up with it. It is a night version of Akira's Iwo Jima map - an island with steep hills, a radar installation and bunkers (some below ground level). Some mods have been re-added to the download database at a later point in time, so those dates do not necessarily represent the release dates. I hope it is the one you are looking for.
