Lightmaping (heavy Down)

It all looks good and works :D . We all had a go on the weekend ,but in game the score for both sides where on 50, and didn't count up with kills. All I have in the mission.xml is the same as you Dav, plus some timed heli orders.

Also, how do you get the grids on the mini_map and a screen shot of the heavy_down map, when its loading. ;)

Sweet! looking forward to seeing it. No ide about the score, suggest you look at the way other TDM maps do it....sorry I can not help with that.

Also, how do you get the grids on the mini_map...

I've always used other peoples, Might be as simple as making one yourself as a layer in an editor (like paint.net, and then overlaying over a map).

... and a screen shot of the heavy_down map, when its loading. ;)

No idea about the score, suggest you look at the way other TDM maps do it....sorry I can not help with that.

I spent hours last night, but I worked it out. I guess if I read the fine print I would've been right. After an hour or two I was looking in the tdm_rules.xml"/> and about 20 or so lines down in grey writing it said ( this line is to look in the mission.xml for more events etc....) along those lines. Then under that it had <event name="start_round"> etc...

So I thought if the game play read the tdm_rules like a book: line 1, line 2, line3 etc... then it would jump to the mission and read the start_round before the tdm_rules start round. So I made a heavy_down_rules and added all the tdm_rules inside it plus my heavy_down events and all is OK. :D I guess it reads the tdm_rules then jumps to my mission.xml, then never returns to the tdm_rules.

I never had a go at personalising my loading screen: I spent all night working out the score problem. I'll have a go tonight with the other two.

Thanks Rad, glad you sorted it out.

An important thing to know is that XML script is infact not a program at all, it's more like a data file.

And iirc, it's more like the tdm_rules is included into the missoin script, i think the tag is <xi:include ...> or something like that. This basically, inserts/included the file....think of it as copy and pasting it in at run time.

But glad you got it sorted.

You almost load everything on the game with this texture scope.

You need to debug this texture_scope.

If u don't have any city building on your map just delte the links on texture scope. Are too many textures there.

first u need to find the textures for landscape. Then buildings.
