Ruin Posted November 13, 2008 Share Posted November 13, 2008 Figured I'd share... Picked up a Nikon Coolpix S600 10MP for $240 on Newegg.com. Got a pouch and a 2GB SD card for free... picked up the 8GB SDHC for $57 also. This is my camera to beat-up in the desert so I can leave the D80 behind - too nice, and too big/heavy. Only flaw (so far): No viewfinder. It's simple, easy to use, the spinning click wheel gets a bit excited sometimes. But it turns on fast, has video, continuous shooting, all the standard shooting modes, and has a wide angle (which I find more important than zoom, seeing as I only use optical zoom). Anyway, here's a close-up I took real quick with my new patch (AR15.com) and the nightstand gun - which is why it's covered in lint. Not a portfolio picture by any means.
