Fallout 3

Think I've finally fixed my 'deleted' save files issues. It seemed to be an error within the user profiles - I had just prior to the relase of patch v1.6 adjusted my Xbox Live gamertag slightly. A quick look in my F3 Saves folder (in the F3 folder that the game stores in My Documents) revealed two save folders, one for my original XBL gamertag and one for my update XBL gamertag, the latter of which being empty, and former housing all my save from where I was at from before the release of patch v1.6.

I've copy and pasted the files, and hope that now I can resume where I was at before my saves 'got deleted by the v1.6 update'

I've noticed there's been more updates since v1.6, and now my game doesn't hang when I click on exit. Hopefully, the randon Games for Windows Live crashing issues have been fully ironed out now too .

So, anyone tell me if the two add-ons I've missed (Point Lookout and Mothership Zeta) are any good/worth getting?

I'm getting bored of L4D'ing it or Killing Floor'ing it all the time. It's time to get back to F3. I need my F3 fix.

EDIT: LOL, it might help if I didn't spell English words in a Finnish way.

EDIT EDIT: Copy & pastes did work. And Dogmeat managed to lure the Raiders into a frag mine that the Raiders themselves had planted. I was like

Saw an Albino Radscorpion take on a Deathclaw today. That was interesting. I just stood back and let them get on with it (although Dogmeat was having none of it - he wanted to do a suicide run, trying to take them both on, for some reason.) Deathclaws are a lot weaker but do massive damage in melee and Albino Radscorpions have like four times the health of Giant Radscorpion, so they were evenly matched if you ask me. It got to almost sudden death, one more hit from either of them would have killed either of them, when the Deathclaw somehow won.

Okay stoopid question time.

I just found Fallout New Vegas, unopened, in a box of wii games LOL.

Is it standalone? Worth installing even though I hardly played the original very much?

It is standalone and IMO, is worth playing. Some better features than F3, like the whole faction system, and the fact that even what you wear can allow you infiltrate enemy ranks or get you killed, depending on your company and location. And there's nothing quite like a robodog for a companion. The massive downside over F3 is that New Vegas cannot be continued after completion of the main questline - one of the F3 DLC's made it so you could play F3 indefinitely after completing the main questline.

The Honest Hearts DLC has a random glitch too, that can turn certain factions against you after completing the DLC - Which makes it nigh on impossible to complete some missions even when dressed as that faction, they instantly recognise you as hostile. I have 2 characters in FNV, I have completed Honest hearts DLC with both and one got the glitch - I was doing NCR missions before the DLC and had a high reputation with them, had never grieved/killed one of them. When I returned from Honest Hearts DLC with said character, I now cannot enter any NCR territory without being shot at, even when dressed as them and accompanied by the NCR First Recon companion. This is not the case with my other character though.
