Just had an hour playing Search and Destroy, pretty good so far. Notes: 1. I registered a week ago, account still not activated. Contacted support by email last night. This morning email was returned, not sent. Had to use a second email and register again. 2. Second email worked, had an activation code. Activation code was denied! Tried a 3rd email. 3. 3rd email successful activation code, game installed correct, but would not launch: This application has failed to start because d3dx9_37.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem. Downloaded the latest directx from MS >HERE< and all good! If at first you don`t succeed... I havn’t seen this issue: “Unhandled exception caught†YET… however this sounds like a sound driver issue.. Please download and install the latest sound drivers for your rig.. http://downloads.guru3d.com/ Try this if your using VISTA and are getting this error. Go to Control Panel The click on “Hardware and Sound†Click on “Sound†Doble click on “speakers†go to the Advanced tab Set the default format to “24 Bit, 48000 Hz (Studio Quality)†I am only assuming the people who are having trouble with this are using windows vista.. correct me if i am wrong, and i’ll look into it further, but feel this should solve your problem. Keep me updated and i’ll do what i can to get you guys sorted out *Edit* Forgot to mention, when prompted with install punkbuster, if you choose no, as you already have it, game will not load. uninstalled and reinstalled, this time yes to punkbuster, and should be fine. Just kept getting too frustrated at not killing people, after unloading full clips into them. Made it upto level 30 i think, had a play with most kits. Really like the Roundhouse Map too.
