I made some reskins of Brett's SOF dudes:

If anyone's interested, I'll upload these (Though I still have some color correction to do.)

(Brett, if you read this, then where are the files for the faces? I've been looking for them but can't find find them...)

(Only for use in conjunction with Brettzie's Weapons Pack v1.4 or higher)


Extract the "Textures" folder from the .rar into

C:\Program Files\UBISOFT\Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2\Local\bp_weapons_pack_v1.4

And overwrite files if necessary.


By using these skins, you agree to not modify them in any way without first getting written permission from me first.

These skins may be used and distributed in whole OR in part, as long as credit is given to me as the maker in either the readme or credits file. However, you must private message me on Ghostrecon.net beforehand.

First of all Its been awhile since i've seen you skin (last time was for GRAW lol) so welcome back xD

for the skin it looks really great ! i am a big MGS fan so its great that you made this skin ! the gloves though in your first and second picture look a little bit too blue. Maybe if you could, you can change the gloves to like the the one in your ref pictures. Besides that everything else looks great !

also just wanted to ask if your going to be making anymore skins because i would like to ask some request's if you can.

anyways keep up the good work and looking towards your other skins !

I think what you want to do is this:

add the files from here: \data\objects\beings\mexican_special_forces









to here: \bp_weapons_pack_v1.4x\objects\beings\ghost_team

rename mex to ghost, so you get 8 files, ie ghost_sf_face_01.diesel, etc You can do just one(+ xml) if they are all going to look the same.

edit the corresponding xmls(ghost_sf_face_01.xml) to point to this material file:





then open this file: \bp_weapons_pack_v1.4x\units\beings\u_mex_special_forces.xml

and add these lines(unless you just do one) to the <!-- faces --> entry:

@gear_def( ghost_sf_face_01, ghost_team/ghost_sf_face_01.xml )

@gear_def( ghost_sf_face_02, ghost_team/ghost_sf_face_02.xml )

@gear_def( ghost_sf_face_03, ghost_team/ghost_sf_face_03.xml )

@gear_def( ghost_sf_face_04, ghost_team/ghost_sf_face_04.xml )

Now open this file: \bp_weapons_pack_v1.4x\lib\managers\xml\ghost_templates.xml

whenever you have an entry like this <gear_unit name="mex_sf_face_04"/>

change mex to ghost, ie ghost_sf_face_04

That should do it. Then you can paint over the faces in the file you altered the unifroms for and it should work. The tbd_atlas_set.xml should already be edited correctly.

Hmmmm. I installed the mod but the squad is wearing ball caps, not helmets and balaclavas like in the pics. Is it just me?

I haven't had any luck installing either. I did as the readme said but no joy.

I'd like to get these characters to work as they look like mean mothers.
