foxyboy1964
Can anyone tell me if there is a mod which adds points to the compass, i.e. North, South, East and West? I know North is marked but it would be nice to have the other three too. Cheers.
Tinker
Adapted from the 9MS version for anyone to use or modify. Original version created by MFisto. DOWNLOAD threat.rsb goes into ghost recon/data/shell/art folder. Pls place the original in a safe place first, in case you want to switch back. metavoid
I looked up that mod and tried it out, but like several others which have attempted this; it just has a static compass which doesn't conform to true north. Does anyone know how to add the other points properly?
Tinker
The compass is true. Turn in game until it points west, then look at the command map. You will see you are pointing west.

Wait, wat? The compass style threat indicator you can find in 9ms just points north wherever you turn. Is there any way to add the other true compass points to it? Tinker
North is at the top. Then a dial will spin to the direction you are pointing. Here you clearly see the blue dial pointing in each direction as I move around, this shows as true when you view the command map. No other way to do it:
Operative
As far as I know, that's a correct compass.

RileyFletcher_01
The blue arrow does always point north--or at least the original one does, the modified one indicates which direction you are facing. Great compass, guys, I'm glad that it gets rid of the Threat Indicator.
Operative
It points in the right direction because E(ast) is in the left and W(est) is in the right. The arrow always point north, but this way it also tells you wich direction you are looking. Starting looking at north, if you turn 90º to the right, the arrow now will be in the left side, turning 90º in the other direction. It still points north, but it's indicating you are looking East.
