ApexMods
This looks great! Nicely done!
ThorneFisher
Thank you Rocky, and thanks also ApexMods, though I'm not sure what I can contribute. Oh! Three elements, always: Alpha, a lone wolf who walks sideways into obvious traps and kills people with silenced rifles; Bravo, a three-member team that does overwatch and kicks people in the ass; and Charlie, a ninja babysitter plus the scenario's required specialist -- they're the original Odd Couple! "Yo Poindexter, could you maybe grab a rifle and return fire?" "Sorry, got these rockets. And an MP5K, how's that? Look upon my armament and tremble, tools!" "Just shut up and stay low." Hopefully the mods will challenge my view of GR. Except DTD, or NED, or PMC, whatever, that sucked. The first mission started, I advanced slowly in overwatch formation, and just when the vertex fog "sandstorm" cleared and I saw a building, I failed the mission -- fifteen seconds, max. I remember clearly because it was an "escort the brainless friendlies" mission. That's when I originally uninstalled GR. Some people think "reality mod" translates "deafening, clipped samples of gunfire and unexpected and total defeat for the first thirty attempts." Forced sterilization has never really caught on, but fortunately these reality modders are easily recognized and avoided.

ApexMods
No worries there. This collection is just great, and the cool looks and added features like reviews etc. are a bonus that would not even be necessary to make it worth the comparatively tiny investment! I'm sure you and your friends are going to love it, neomaynard!

twcrash
hey everyone, I also go by the name twcrash (dropped the njmatrix while back) Anyways I have the pleasure of having a great wife and she saw me looking at the GR.Net 6 dvd set that Rocky offered here and decided to order it for my BDay and Xmas (same day) She knows I love GR and thought it would be a great Idea and present. She told me she got it and that it would show after Xmas due to the fact she ordered it late and it is coming from the UK. Well it arrived today and I wanted to share how it is. First off all the discs are labeled professionally and numbered in sequence with descriptions. They are subdivided into sections for each dvd like maps/missions, equipment, total conversions ect. After looking thru all of the DVD's I can honestly say that this is one of the most complete GR sets any serious GR collector or modder for that matter could ever dream to get. I have over the years been that guy that downloads everything (and its scattered across countless DVDS around the office) and always wished i was a little more organized with all my GR stuff as well. Well this took care of all that. It is even up to date with current downloads it looks like. Rocky took alot of time and care in making these sets and I wanted to say thank you for doing such a great job and also to let others know this is well worth it cost wise and collecting wise. I would suggest this for anyone who wants to complete their GR collection. Again Rocky thank you for this, Great job and you made my Xmas.. TWCRASH Wait here's some pics

Rocky
I got a really nice e-mail today, thought I'd share I just received the collection today. I was checking out the DVDs to make sure that they are readable. I've only just got GR Gold about two weeks ago (played just a little OPF in 2001/2002). I must say the collection is beautifully done. The partitioning, DVD labels, subdirectories, and many PDFs included. Simply superb! Thank you so much for your time! Put the compilation together was a lot of work so it makes it all worthwhile to receive a message like that, knowing that it it's being appreciated. Also knowing that it's helping to keep people playing GR is a big bonus too. Long live Ghost Recon!
migryder
I doubt a commercial effort would look any more appealing Rocky...I may have to break down and order this thing after all..probably have most of the mods but it is nice for sure... mig
twcrash
Yeah I gotta admit that it is a well done well rounded package. I didnt think it would look that good or be that professional. I am serious if you love GR you need this. I use it daily for the files and for reference as well. Not trying to suck up but you did a bangin job there Rocky. Actually I'm not sure I will ever use it as I have almost all the mods in a portable hard disk but it's a piece of history and mainly a piece of my life, say like a jewel to keep in your safe. Same here - I have almost 30 GB of Ghost Recon mods (Mac & PC, and I keep older versions, too) on a RAID mirror, but this collection is like the culmination of GR modding history! It has got a special place in the "Games Hall of Fame" section of my shelf, right next to my copies of Ghost Recon, of which two (1 Mac, 1 PC) are still shrink-wrapped. JoshuaOneSix
How I found this DVD set... My comp crashed and burned in January... Lost just about everything , a few weeks later I got my new PC, but now I had to reinstall all my games... as I was reinstalling my games I saw my old GR Gold Edition set... haven't played that in a while, but of course now I must go to GhostRecon.net (a site I had not been on in months ) and redownload all those incredible mods WAIT... WHAT'S THIS!!! A SIX DVD SET!!! A quick order and now the waiting and waiting and waiting until today, when on my desk I behold a package all the way from Bonnie Scotland Rocky - after looking at the quality of the DVD covers and taking a quick look on each DVD; my hat is off to you and the incredible amount of work you spent in creating this very complete (even including the newest mod Heroes Unleashed) DVD collection! I'm glad I sent you a few extra bucks when I placed my order but I still feel like I got an incredible deal! Thanks Again, JoshuaOneSix Edited February 13, 2009 by JoshuaOneSix
