I've got 6 under my belt

Animal Farm - George Orwell

Frankenstein - Mary Shelley

The Giver - Lois Lowry

20,000 Leagues Under The Sea - Jules Verne

The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy - Douglas Adams

Fahrenheit 451 - Ray Bradbury

In all fairness though, I had to read Animal Farm, Fahrenheit 451, and The Giver for a class in high school while I had to read 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea for college.

I'm not a big sci-fi guy, so I'm surprised I have read 3 of them, two of which were required reading for me in high-school (Animal Farm and Brave New World)

I had to read Animal Farm in school to as required reading. I also seem to recall having to read 1984 too, but memory fails a bit on that part.

None of the ones I read were required reading for school. Oh, random Jester triviaâ„¢: I own a first edition of 1984. :)

  • 2 weeks later...

only five on the list but a lot more of asimov's and probably the strangest book I ever read was H.G.Wells book 'The Island of Dr. Moreau". Mr Wells had some very strange but interesting ideas.

20,000 Leagues Under The Sea - Jules Verne

I Robot - Isaac Asimov

War Of The Worlds - H.G. Wells

The Time Machine - H.G. Wells

Foundation - Isaac Asimov

I read the sequal to foundation but my library hasenty got the third. (this annoys me). :wall:

Have also read E.E.'Doc'Smith, a bit like Asimov.
