GRAW1 is played a little at Lan Parties still , its got a better interface then GRAW2 for a lot of people . (Then again both GRAW1 and 2 are moving away from GR1 just like R6 - proper tatical shooters to action noob dumbed down games) GRAW1 seems to have a LOT of ORG coop maps and other addons for it Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The main issues were. (sounding like a broken record because this was all covered) 1) Server cost...higher overhead 2) GR1 fan dissapointment. Was a great game but not what expected from gr1 fans. 3) Server console bugs 4) High Physics usage lead to spikes in server processor and connection 5) between 2 of the patches there was a GL bug This was like for 4 months. Your game would crash randomly when firing at an enemy. This was finally fixed by the last patch but was too late. As for sads... Grin improved them as found. USMC2531 Posted September 3, 2008 Share Posted September 3, 2008 I love this game! I used to play GR1 ([GR]) for a few years. When GRAW (1) released I was thrilled! However I and many other hardcore GR1 gamers had to seriously upgrade! Then the problems with the bugs. Some of us stuck with it and made our way into the new look and feel and game play of GRAW. It is much more realistic and there is more action. I love the fact that it is so MODdable! THANKS MODders! I love the multitude of maps! You guys ROCK! However I started getting a CRASH at start up. I have a post on that. I am trying to play GRAW again...I miss it. I have been playing COD4 & Combat Arms...believe it or not....(Not bad for a free download.) It helps that Fishmonger keeps making maps for us. Yea! Fish.. There are many nights, especially the weekends, that we have a full server.
