mcgraw Posted June 2, 2008 Share Posted June 2, 2008 Hi, I've had a search around and I can't see anyone with the same problem as me but sorry if I've missed something obvious. I have a 5.1 setup on Vista with sound running through an xfx nforce 6 motherboard. It's all been fine and I love the game but I can't hear anything that's said through the communication window at the top right that comes up at the beginning of missions. It's been like that since I installed it. I've installed the patch which made the grenade launcher easier to use but didn't help with the sound unfortunately. I've tried disabling EAX, changing from hardware to software etc. etc. to no avail. Any help would be very much appreciated. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

doubletap Posted June 10, 2008 Share Posted June 10, 2008 (edited) This will be no help to you but many people, myself included, actually mod the game to silence that **** thing, as well as get rid of the "video" altogether. Basically all you're missing is news feeds, your superiors bickering with eachother, and a whole lot of BAD over-acting. If the issue is isolated to that one problem, that's one gem of a bug you've got there. Enjoy it. Down with Narcom!!
