Cd Recorder Software Burner

I had to redo my windows again (Windows XP Home). I had a software called record now that was preinstalled on my computer to burn CD's. Anyways since i redid my computer windows i have lost record now. I'm hopen anyone here may know of some free software that aint time trail or full of ads. That is more or less just a basic CD burner to make CD's.

So if anyone knows of anything i would be greatfull! Thanks guys!

A site to bookmark is SourceForge, a network of FOSS* projects. For CD/DVD recording on Windows, InfraRecorder looks like a decent package.

I tried the InfraRecorder and it locks up my computer. Tried a reinstall and its the same. Don't know whats going on there, but for some reason i can't use it. Going to look into the other place u added see if i can find something there! Still would like some clues on some other recorders if anyone has any though.

I always had a free copy of nero with my dvd+-ram drives.... dunno if you bought the system complete, but quite often that software is parsed togehter on one cd (trial virus scan and free nero)

DVDShrink is more or less used to rip your DVDs, and ImgBurn will burn image files (.iso and such).

As Nutlink pointed, I'm using CDBurnerXP and works great here, also for burning iso, but for this last I'm using ImgBurn.

Thanks guys i will give it a try! I did get it (CDBurnerXP) to install and start up, but i don't have anything i need to burn just yet. Going to put together a music list or something together later just to give it a go. I'm sure its fine at least it installed! Again thanks guys!
