Global Operations

Delta Force: Task Force Dagger (based on the Afghanistan war)

so far i've only played the Delta Force game a tiny bit, it is ######ING FUN, u get to choose from 10 special forces units to use e.g. Navy Seals, SASR (aussie spec ops), SAS, Rangers, Marine etc

i got these both when i went searching for Black Thorn a add on for Rogue Spear, even though Black Thorn is kinda old the store had it at AUS$70 in its orig box when at a diff store that didn't have it in stock had it for $10 in a dvd case

anyway i got Global Ops for $25 and DF came with it for free (EA Classics, like a platnium series, next one that im gonna get is Freedom Force which comes with Command & Conquer Renegade for free)

what do u people think of these 2 games? is Global Ops like Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six? cause it kinda looked like it.

also i can't find anywhere that plays DF online , i tried GameSpy but it doesn't have it, neither does novalogic.com the games site, well it has a mplayer thing for it but the site doesn't work, i really ryeally wanna try it online.

p.s. its kinda cool with how its set on the afghan war, u even get to do missions based on those that took place over there

Global Ops is frickin fun

I love that game- I love some of its features more then the ones in GR and vis versa.

In GO the hit detection is kinda funny, you can unload a entire M249 in someone point blank and it barely hurts them, while the person with the pistol your shooting kills you in 2 shots. Plus when you are snier if you duck the crosshair gets super tight but does little or no damage while standing up does more.

If you ever find a place to play it online the anti spawn rape feature helps alot (your vehicle that TRANSPORTS you into the field has a mounted weapon and kills anyone going into your spawn area sometimes you get snipers to cover you)

Every mission is a basic run n gun frag fest, you buy weapons like CS, there is jumping but its impossible to run jump and snipe like CS.

Now I dont know about DF, I havent played it forever and I didnt play it that long when I played it. Cool game, kinda got ruined by cheaters online though- oh so I heard.

Id suggest getting Delta Force: Black Hawk Down instead of TFD, based only on the demos and what people are saying here.

I played Global Operations at a friend's house. The only thing that impressed me were the cinematics. The gameplay is just the same as CS IMO.
